Watching this thing break through the river ice was very cool and worth the trip. It was quite surreal.
Lovely relaxing ride into the city from Levis. Parking is reasonable and lots of it. Great pics as you cross the St. Lawrence river. Do this!
For a nominal fee you can cross the St Lawrence and looking back catch those magnificent classic views of the City of Quebec. In summer a pleasent round trip, in winter get ready for the coldest ever experience as it crosses through the ice.
The river was almost completely frozen so taking the ferry was quite the site to behold. Amazing to travel through all that ice, and the views were spectacular! $6.70 for an adult round trip. Takes about 10 minutes or so to cross. Not much to see in Lévis in the other side. Well worth the price for the view and the experience of winter on the river!
Excellent short trip which offers great photo opportunity. Return trip to Levis costs less than $7 and you get great views of Québec city and the St Lawrence river.
Took the ferry at sunset on a beautiful clear day. The view was great. Cost for round trip was less than $7. If you want to relax for an hour or so, try the ferry.
very cool to go across and watch the ferry break up the ice. Saw a few boats portaging. Amazing to see these guys running across the ice and then jumping back into their boats. A tip. At the other end you have to take either a bus or a taxi. It is a huge hill you cant walk up it. Nothing to see in Laval. But worth the trip
When you don't have anything to do, you can always take the ferry to the south shore and come back. It gives you a great view of the Upper Town, the Frontenac Castle and all that is so pretty in Québec.
Take the ferry over to Levis to get a magnificent view of Old Quebec dominated by the Chateau Frontenac. It will also give yoou an idea of just how strong the current is in the river - especially if there are still ice flows on it.
it was $6.70 return and basically was just useful to get a nice picture of the Chateau. you go over, get off and turn around and come back. There is nothing on the other side that is really needed to be seen. The ferry is good to warm up if you are walking around and for the photo op
