Just awesome view of the city of Cuenca and the surrounding areas. Gorgeous views. There is a small souvenir shop near the top. A little in the expensive side. The tour bus will drive you up to the Mirador.
We went here on the city tour bus and the view made the tour worthwhile. All those beautiful red roofs. No wonder Cuenca is called the red city.
The mirardor is on the double decker bus tour route but is also accessible on foot or by taxi. It's worth a trip up there to get the big picture. Stop at Eduardo Vega's ceramic workshop on the way.
From the lookout you can see the entire city . The view is amazing , you can take great pictures. There are craft shops and souvenirs and also typical local food.
Typical tourist point with a great view of the city and a nice leather and souvenier place but not much else.
The fabulous view of the whole city is worth the short ride there. Didn't really walk around much while up there, but after reading the other reviews would have stopped at Vegas house and studio.
If you stay in Cuenca, it's a must to be at the Turi for having the opportunity to see Cuenca city. Especially in the evening you'll have a wonderful view until the historical center.
This is a good place to get a view of Cuenca and take a few pictures. There are some gift items available very close to the overlook. At the bottom of the hill is a restaurant called Fogo's (in a large building), which has good food (and a classy sports/steak house diner ambiance) and increases what you can accomplish on your trip to see the city.
A short drive up from centro (or a very long walk). The views of the city are great and you get a nice side view of the blue domes of the new cathedral. Be sure to clime the hill in back of the overlook as there are some very nice shops selling all types of chotchkies and great little souvenirs.
Took a tour, and visited El Turi, and that's it.Nice view of Cuenca, nice view, and no more. Is worth it for 5 minutes.
