If you haven't seen live skulls then this is a must-see place ! Everything is Gothic and original with a touch of medieval and above it all, a great history ! You should see it in your own eyes and try to avoid the winter visit if you're always frisky but it has also a charm during winter...a must revisit ! Loved the place
one of the top attractions of kutna hora, don't miss it! really interesting, unique, full of history. i'm not sure where you can find something like this again so if you make the day trip to kutna hora give it a chance
also known as the Bone Church many folk see this as just a pile of bones but read the history of the place and it becaomes very interesting, it is not a place you are going to spens hours but a 20-30 minute trip will give you a good insight to the place.
Church of All Saints
Well worth seeing, very interesting to see what has been done with the bones and decorating inside the church. This was included on a tour we did of Kutna Hora, we were given 20 minutes to look around the church and the grounds at the graves. The church is very small so 20 minutes was plenty of time to look around. There is an upper level of the church, but I wouldn't bother looking as it was just a plain room with seating. You can get a train from Prague to Kutna Hora if you didn't want to do a tour just to see the church.
A good 30 mins by train from Prague main stn, would suggest to visit if u have time in Prague.2 ways to reach Ossuray after starting your train journey from Prague Central train stn:1) Disembark at "Kolin" and take a local train to reach Kutna Hora city center (this way you can finish the other attractions in KH old town and proceed to Ossuary which is the closest to KH train stn to return to Prague)2) Continue until Kutna Hora stn & walk to the Ossuary (10 min) or take a local bus (next stop). We did the Option 2 while a fellow traveler we later became friends with, did the option 1. The staff at the tourist info ofc at KH train stn is very helpful, speaks Eng and would guide you on the walking route/bus route etc but be warned that this offc is open only until 6pm. The bone church is small, ok for a 1 time visit, IMO, but defntly a must visit. The adjacent cemetery is also a good walk-by. Would strongly suggest the restaurant 'U Balanu' diagonally opp the Ossuary for some real delicious, home made food. You can then take the bus to the old town (15mins) for other attractions but be warned that most of them close at 16:00 nowadays. So, would suggest to leave Prague early to ensure visit to atleast 2 or 3 places in KH.Kutna Hora on the whole is a good option to visit if you have time while in Prague.
