Great views and fantastic holes on the back nine. Very expensive. The staff is great and the course is not crowded, so you will enjoy a relaxing round.
Highly recommend... beautiful course, quiet not a lot of people. Great layout but not so long and difficult that it can't be enjoyed by the average golfer. Bring your camera!
I play a lot, about 100 rounds a year. I play Ireland Scotland as well as U.S. Manele is one of the best. Top ten all time in my book. Outstanding views. Great conditions friendly service. Don't miss it.
One of the most prestigious Golf Courses on Earth, Friendly, staff. Course is well groomed. Nice to see native wildlife as you golf and yet not threatening. Would recommend to any Golf Pro.
Most I've ever paid for a round, and you have to take a 45 minute ferry ride over to Lanai from Maui. But, definitely worth the price of admission. Ocean views on almost every hole; beautiful cliff shots, etc. Very playable for everyone though as greens are fairly flat and fairways pretty generous. We took some great photos during our round, and are putting one from hole #12 onto canvas because we like it so much. Great staff; beatiful restaurant for lunch afterwards. Some minor squabbles which I refuse to let affect my 5 star ranking:- Driving range was not ready on arrival so could not hit balls. When paying that much for the experience, you'd sure like to be warmed up on the first tee. - While they made us cool 'Challenge at Manele' bag tags; they are apparently changing the name of the course to just 'Manele Golf course'. New name & logo not nearly as unique as the old one and for that reason, I didn't spend as much on merchandise as I would have otherwise.
Enjoyable from many aspects. There are several sets of tees from which you can test your game but being a resort course, it's not designed to beat you up. Beautiful views, great service and practice facilities.
Im a 2 handicap who has been lucky enough to play some of the best courses in the world- but none prettier and in better shape than this one! After a 45 minute ferry ride in which we saw numerous whales at play ( mId February ) we took a shuttle to the clubhouse; the bag guys and pro shop personnel were helpful and very friendly. After getting a workout on the driving range ( complete with PRO V 1 practice balls) which overlooks the Pacific- we headed to the first tee and were treated to perfectly manicured tees and greens for the next four hours! There were a couple of blind tee shots but this hardly diminshed the over all enjoyment of the course. Number 12 is simply amazing- hit at least one shot from the tips just to get the full impact of this intimadating hole! If you are in Maui- dont miss the opportunity to play this track. Pricey but you will love it no matter what your nadicap!
Aloha, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on the golf course with us. We are delighted that you enjoyed your round with the added benefit of whale watching! We will be sure to give the attendants kudos for your recognition. Additionally, we look forward to welcoming you back to Manele Golf Course in the near future. We took the ferry over to Lanai. I think it was $25 per person each way. We only went to the island to golf so that's all I can speak about. This course is breathtaking with 11 holes on the water. You could see the ocean on almost every hole. Just to let you know how exclusive and beautiful this course is...Bill Gates got married on one of the holes that overlooked a cliff. We had lunch afterwards which also was amazing. A must do but plan on spending a couple hundred a round.
Fantastic scenery, literally a photo opp on each hole. Some very tricky holes. Good sand (not that I every went in :) . The staff was very nice. We had lunch afterwards and it was very scenic with very good food.
