this is the most beautiful street at all times of year. During the Christmas season it is especially beautiful with every tree full of lights and the stores are beautifully decorated. There is a store and restaurant here with every type of food you can imagine and a price range to match everyone. The shopping is plentiful and neat as well. Anything from sports, to clothing, nick knacks, antiques, shoes, books etc.....wonderful people too!
Massachusetts St. is a wonderful collection of shops, restaurants and bars that reflect the eclectic nature of this awesome college town. You won't find many chain stores and restaurants here. You will find a wide variety of places with something to appeal to everyone.
Restaurants, shops, street performers, cafes - Lawrence's Mass Street has it all! So much fun! Also, specialized services such as massages, day spas, acupuncture.
Walking down Massachusetts street gives you the experience of a small town with a university feel. It has shops to appeal to anyone, from ladies wear to antiques, toys to KU attire. It also has many restaurants and coffee/dessert places to choose from. You can sit for a nice romantic meal in a fine restaurant, or enjoy a mid-scale sit down restaurant with great food, and of course there are also many fast food options. A leisurely stroll was relaxing and interesting people watching for sure with the college feel.
Interesting shopping, quirky stuff, great food of all kinds! A brewery, antiques , quirky clothing, crazy gifts, homemade, retro, eclectic, sushi, wings, Greek, candy, theatre, concerts, books---it's all on Mass! Great atmosphere!
loved the quaintness of the shops & restaurants. The trees were all lit up for a beautiful holiday feel!
The Toy Store, Sunflower sporting goods, Brits, and Nomads are some of our favorite stores. Come for breakfast at Wheatfields or the Roost, and have dinner with a craft beer at Merchants. We are lucky to live here, and when we travel, we miss these places and hurry home! Downtown Lawrence is special.
This is where a lot of great things take place. Great shopping, food, dessert, and the atmosphere is wonderful. A must to walk up and down if your in the town of Lawrence, KS.
Lawrence Downtown is alive and well. There are stores, restaurants and other business the length of downtown Lawrence. College students keep the street busy. Liberty Hall offers movies and other events. Restaurants include pizza, BBQ, sandwiches, bar food and many ethnic choices. Many of the shops are hometown owned. It is quite a street.
Mass Street is the best! This is the most lovingly maintained small city downtowns I have ever been to in my life. It has charm out the wazoo, and a stroll on a sunny day is a lovely way to spend a day.Movies, concerts, live music, GREAT food, brewery, vintage shops, antique stores, coffee shops, bars, boutiques, shoe stores, barbers, salons, hookah bars, parks, farmers market, book stores, comic shop, candy stores, etc.... Sit on a bench and just enjoy the people walking by. This is one of the most exciting, ecclectic areas around. It is our little gem.You must go, and you will have fun!
