This a fun day out for a group. Having never gone of road before i had no idea what i was being let in for but the guys running the place guide you through it all and soon build up your confidence. Mind you its still unnerving to face a steep down hill that's deep mud but they talk you through and the vehicles manage it with ease.
This was a birthday present and a great one at that. Starting with a very clear explanation of how the modern LandRover vehicles work, I drove a Discovery 4 in the morning and then a Defender 110 in the afternoonThe staff were attentive and highly professional from the off, with a special thank you to my instructor for the day, Andy.If you sign up to attend this venue, you probably know what to expect and will likely already be aware of the vehicles' capabilities, however it is still awe-inspirig to watch and drive the vehicles over terrain you cannot even walk or stand onHighly recommended
Had a great half day experience with a Range Rover Evoque on Eastnor Castle's challenging off road tracks. After a welcome coffee, it started with Rob, our excellent demonstration driver, showing the vehicle's incredible capability on some man made tests then off into the woods. There were three of us and each got a good long drive on some pretty challenging tracks. The weather had been dry for quite a while so it was probably not as muddy and slippery as winter time. However, this did not detract from the overall experience. If you want to better understand the capabilities of your own vehicle (but using someone else's!) or just want a great half day out then I can't recommend this highly enough.
Had a "full day ADVANCED experience ' a fantastic instructor, Frosty who was patient and great fun. Would recommend to anyone. We were looked after VERY well. Will return!
A full day driving Discovery, Range Rover and Evoque models just proves how extraordinarily capable these vehicles are, and the Evoque is every bit as capable as its bigger relations. With breakfast as part of the briefing, followed by over three hours of driving around the very challenging tracks across the Eastnor estate, refreshments from the tailgate, another two plus hours driving followed by a buffet lunch and a chance to discuss the day with fellow drivers - and the excellent instructors who looked after us so well throughout the day, altogether this is highly recommended!
I went to the Land Rover experience at Eastnor on the recommendation of a friend, I booked a full day with 1 to 1 tuition in a defender 110.The location of the venue is excellent with over 500 acres of grounds to explore. I was welcomed on arrival at the gate by staff and directed to the car park and by the time i had arrived at the lounge another member of staff was waiting to meet me with a coffee. Through the day food and drink were included and of a very high standard.I was allocated an instructor for the day who was extremely knowledgeable about the range of vehicles and was very proffessional in the way that he organised the day.The course itself was fantastic, taking the vehicle through every type of situation that you can imagine and also most that you can't.The whole set up is incredibly proffesional and I would recommend it to anyone who owns a Land Rover or who is thinking of buying one to see what the car really can do.All in all a fantastic worthwhile day out.
We've just had a great family day out here as a bonus of buying a new Landrover. My husband and I both had a great time driving round the estate under the careful guidance of the patient and knowledgable instructors. I can't recommend this enough. We will definitely be retiring as paying customers and trying a more challenging course. Absolutely brilliant!!!!
Awesome morning with friend and instructor Chris. A very knowledgeable and calm instructor, Chris gave us an excellent insight into the potential of an automatic Freelander 190 HSE. Could not believe the gradients, water hazards and very rutted surfaces we encountered & achieved.A very challenging course, probably why Eastnor is the centre for traing all Landrover Instructors at home and abrad.Thank you to Chris for a real LR experience!
Ok so me my wife and her farther went to Eastnor Castle for a half a day Land Rover off road Experience on the 11th of June on a wed between 9.00- 12.00. We drove the Range Rover sport . Our guild Simon was outstanding and very helpful. The tracks were very testing for anyone. They come from all around the world to learn to drive these Range Rovers of all types.Simon our guild was very helpful about driving the tracks well done simon! Its 225 pounds per person for half day BUT it was worth it. This was one my wifes 40th Bday presents after this day we had she now wants a 65000 pounds rover and wants to do the night drive. All i can say is GO!
have been to eastnor castle land rover 8 times , and by far the best driving day you will ever have . we selected a discovery after the de brief we got to drive the car straight away as a party of 3 we took turns in driving , you drive through the beautiful tracks of eastnor castle , the instructor explains everything to you and the best techniques . you stop for a lunch break back at the reception and then is back in the car , the funny thing is you are only going slow but its much more challenging that a track day and some of the tracks you think you will get stuck but the cars are great , they are all new, very clean and all the staff are very friendly . for the cost its great value for money .
