We had a nice time here. The tasting was on the pricey side, but it did come with some tasty tidbits. The wines were interesting, and we brought home a couple of bottles. They also have several friendly cats who we enjoyed spending some time with. The property is very nice as well. I could definitely see coming back and buying a nice bottle of wine and enjoying it on the property.
Fabbioli Cellars is an excellent place to go both with both family and friends. The food and wine pairings are excellent and always fresh. The price of the food and wine pairing is more than reasonable. This establishment is very clean and the staff is more than friendly. There lots of really great seating areas both inside and outside. Fabbioli Cellars is constantly improving and changing. Some days/evenings there are other forms of entertainment such as music and tarot card readings. During our visit there were fresh cut flowers on all of the bars, tables, and even in the bathroom. The flowers were beautiful and a very nice touch. They sell food and lend you a knife and cutting board so you can easy cut and serve your food. They also serve non-alcoholic beverages. We will be back to visit Fabbioli Cellars very soon!
Nice tasting pairing. The tasting is a little spendy, $15.00 but they do do pairings with their wines. Nice tasting area. I would do it again!
As we walked up to this winery, it looked very appealing. Our tasting expeerience was less than satisfying. The tasting fee was high and they rushed us through the tasting. Any information we sought or questions we asked seemed unwelcome. They make good wine, but need to provide a better tasting experieince. I imagine if you bought a bottle of wine and sat outside, you would be content, however, you need to become familiar with the wines first. For those less curous, it may work.
Took some friends after having visited a few times before. Always a fun time! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, while simultaneously feeling a little highbrow (I think because of the awesome tastings and the personal sommelier! We enjoyed the Thanksgiving tasting and then bought a bottle and some bread and oil and sat outside by the firepit and enjoyed the fall sunshine and the warm fire (tended by another employee who was both attentive and nearly invisible!) I'll definitely be back!
We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The tasting room itself has no ambiance, however the wines are really good. Try to go on a day when you can sit outside. The outside areas are really, really nice. You are also able to bring in your own food for a picnic. They had several nice fire pits going outside. The reds here are really good. The tasting is a little pricier at $15 per person, but you can always share a tasting, which is what we often do. They will gladly give you another "sample" if you want to try somethign again. Overall, one of the better wineries in Loudoun.
terrible location as it is nothing more than some random guys basement turned into tasting room. the wine here, however, is oddly some of the best in loudoun. if you want good wine, come here, if you want atmosphere, do not come here....
We didnt go to any other wineries, but this one has got to be the best. We paid 15.00 for the tasting but with each wine you got a food pairing. Each pairing was perfectly matched with each wine. The girl who did the tasting with us was knowledgeable and made the event fun. The wine here isn't cheap, but its not expensive. Its a great place to go with a bunch of friends, buy a bottle and sit outside the tasting room and just hang out for a while.. We had a great time just socializing outside after the tasting. Very nice decor and its very comfortable place to vist.
We were in Leesburg for a long weekend thanks to a family wedding where Fabbioli Cellars wines were served. When we learned that the vineyard where the wonderful wines were crafted was 6 miles from our hotel, we made a point of spending part of a free morning at the winery. It was a Monday morning in June, warm temperature on a sunny day and we were delighted because we the only customers on site. We paid $15 for the wine tasting with the food pairing but it was worth it - a lot of thought had been given to the food choices as well as the wine selections. We were already in love with the Raspberry Merlot when we arrived but recommitted to our love affair with it during the tasting. I agree with the other reviewer who gave lukewarm reviews to the white wine - Something White - but the other reds we tried were excellent and they have some wonderful pear wine as well. We ended up buying a baguette and some cheese and sausage and perching in the pleasant garden outside the winery for a delicious, restorative picnic lunch -- ending with a small selection of the excellent chocolate truffles they sell at the winery. Go if you can -- especially on a weekday -- where you will have the place to yourself and enjoy a special experience. Colleen was our guide through all of this and I made a point of telling her that her warmth, her knowledge and her professionalism were a big part of the positive experience. My only issues were the cost of the tasting and ultimately -- the cost of the dozen bottles we bought for shipping home and to family. But I'm confident it will be money well spent!
They pair the wine selections with small morsels of food. Nicely done. Some of the red wine is not a good value - welcome to Virginia wines. But give this place a try
