iPic in Redmond is a great place - very comfortable chairs, excellent sound, loved it! Also, what I like is the possibility of buying a ticket for a specific seat.
Let me start by saying that I LOVE this place. I rave about it. It's a real treat to see a movie there and kick your feet up in a cushy recliner while a server brings us drinks, popcorn and good food. (My fave has always been the Caesar Salad- dipping romaine and parmesan crusts into the delicious dressing- yum!)This past Saturday, however, we paid $75 a person for a group of 22 women to see Fifty Shades, and the service at Salt (the bar) was BEYOND subpar. We arrived 45 minutes before the show, and a manager directed us to "our reserved area" (I didn't notice any signs or anything on the tables...I think they just happened to be open) in the bar- and then, no one approached us for drinks for more than 15 minutes. (Although another patron did come over and offer us "Bondage Lesson" pamphlets which got a big laugh.) The show now starts in 30 minutes. When they finally came to take our drink orders- we tried to order our food at the same time (starting to panic) - and the waitress said "No- I'll come back and take that later, I need a different piece of paper." In the meantime, of course, she still had SIX OTHER TABLES to take orders from in our group, and was waiting on several other tables near us as well. Several minutes after she left our tables- the manager came over and finally took our food order. She was trying to support the waitress as much she could - but it became painfully evident that they were under staffed at every turn, as some of the food came ten minutes later, but the bartenders (four of them) didn't even put our drinks up for the waitress until 6:57pm (7pm show start) - half of us still didn't have food, and three girls didn't even get their FIRST drinks until 15 minutes into the movie - nearly a FULL HOUR after they ordered them. What's worse? Our servers in the movie theater came to take our food orders during the first sex scene! Super awkward! It was a debacle. I have no idea what happened, but I certainly wouldn't ever recommend it for a big group or a busy premiere night, etc unless you can arrive two hours before your show and enjoy waiting. A lot. We had a similar experience before Breaking Dawn 2, but I've overloooked it all these years. Not now. Pack your patience. Go for a date night and/or skip SALT (the bar) and stick to the theater only.

Nightmare. My husband and I attended this theater for the first time last week. Our food came into the pitch dark theater and my husband began eating his chicken satay. He commented that the first one tasted a bit funny. After biting into the second one he asked for my phone and upon looking, he saw that they were completely raw on the inside. He had to disturb movie watchers to get out of the row and then again on the way back. He told me the restaurant was going to replace with a second dish "on the house" and he just needed to once again disturb all the people in his row to go back and pick it up. Oh well, how completely generous of them I thought. Not. I mean, couldn't you at least offer to deliver to him? In any case, the second meal was not cooked either so it went uneaten. So, my husband spends the next two days violently ill from food poisoning. I called the movie theater the next morning and spoke with Garrett who was the manager on duty the night before. He confirms that the chicken was grossly undercooked and asks how my husband is feeling. I tell him not well at all and he informs me that their HR dept will be calling me. Paloma from the IPIC HR dept calls and is beyond rude. She asks me "well, did anyone else see that the chicken was raw or just you?" I explain to her that she is ill-informed and really needs to speak with Garrett. She says "well, I am just a bit surprised because nobody else had raw food that night so it seems a bit odd that one plate would go out raw?" Really? Clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer. She so generously offers me two movie tickets as an apology for my husband missing a good portion of the movie, being feed raw food, suffering through 2 days of vomiting and intense stomach pain, and having to deal with painful Paloma by phone. Doesn't quite seem enough to me. How about we start with refunding the cost of the inedible, raw food.....Eat at your own risk.
