Open space, woody areas and access to the Sammamish slew! What else could a dog ask for. A must for dog owners in the area.
Best Park for play and run, it can get very busy on sunny days though. Don't forget your dollar for parking!
Playground, sports fields, rock climbing - but we typically use the dog park or walk in the fields to watch the birds. When we have been there dogs at park have been well managed by owners and playful, not aggressive. the longer loops through the fields where the birds nest is very pretty and peaceful. Can be quite crowded with soccer/lacrosse teams.
I LOVE this dog park! It is big and has great parking and many outlets of water for my dog to play in. The park is very well maintained and even has a simulated hiking area. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent more often. Definitely worth a visit.
If you want to be active, there is something for you to do at Marymoor Park. Sports fields are heavily used on the weekends for kids leagues. If your kids play soccer, likely you will be here during the fall.Dog owners (or dog lovers) have a huge open area where their animals can run free and play. With lots of parking and both trails and open fields, it's a great spot to watch dogs of every variety even if you don't have one. Note the Sammamish River runs through the park so year round you will probably see labs retrieving throw toys from the water. Don't get close if you want to remain dry. There is a bike and walking path that runs through the park so you can use this as a launching point for exercise. We park here and start a bike ride to have lunch at the Redhook Brewery 6.5 miles down the paved Sammamish River trail.Concerts, special events and velodrome races during the summer take advantage of the long days. There are a couple of occasional food trucks and a seasonal Subway concession but I'd advise you bring food with you. There is a modest fee for parking. It's the most popular park in King county for a good reason; this is a beautiful, well maintained resource.
Always fun especially the dog park. The Dog park is huge and really spread out so the small dogs can enjoy it as well as the big dogs. I love watching the big dogs jumping in the water after their balls. Nice big picnic area too. You won't be disappointed.
Overall big space and park. Some parts of it need some more maintenance and cleanup. The kids area is great and they have a new toddlers area which is nice.
Soccer fields, climbing rock, nice trails, off leash area, historic farm, great events - Cirque de Soleil, movies in the park, concerts etc.
Marymoor Park is a huge space with lots of different areas for different uses. We have had numerous picnics here; there are covered areas, some with barbeque stands, some near swings and play-sets, some with open areas for playing any outdoor games. There is a wonderful dog park -- like a dog's disneyland-- and by a slow-moving slew (small river). There is also a velodrome, and outdoor climbing wall which is free to use at your own risk.Tennis courts, softball fields, baseball fields, soccer fields, remote controlled airplane areas fill out the other parts, plus it is the starting point for a bicycle path that goes around Lake Washington.
Marymoor Park is fabulous. There is really something for every not to mention the many special events. Besides strolling, running, picnics, ball games, plane flying, it is a real social club for dog owners.... we even let the children wash the 3 dogs at the Dog Wash facility... what a learning experience. We have been many times for different reasons.
