Great atmosphere in which to see a movie. It is conveniently located in Lewisburg, PA. You can eat at a variety of restaurants before or after.
One of the few art-deco theatres left in the country. Well worth the time to see it! Take the time to check it out.
Loved the film screened and am excited about the programing planned for the coming months. Theatre is beautiful and comfortable
If you have the opportunity, stop by the campus theater and take in a movie. The place has been remodeled, restored and redecorated. It is a lovely and unique experience. We even got free admission as the movie had already started.
If you have time, please visit this Campus theater and see a movie, it has been beautifully preserved since the 1940s, the staff is so wonderful, it was truly a joy to visit!
I stood outside the theater one night last week( I have lived in Lewisburg for 10 years now) and the marquee was lit up, lighting the street and the bustle of the main street. The town was hoppin"! This little gem of a restored theater owes its existence to Bucknell University. They recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation, updated the sound system and projection and use it for multiple free showings for classes that allow anyone to view. Friday nights they try to give the students an alternative to the party scene and they can get in for free with a student ID. They also run several free showing around the hoidays of classic movies for a canned food doantion.Inside they kept the Art Deco theme and it is beautiful. You can call ahead and reserve the couches/loveseats ahead of time that sit up and ovelook the floor. They have the usual snack fare but at reasonable prices, friendly staff and offer BYOB movie nights. They also have a deal with a fine restaurant across the street named Elizabeths for Dinner and a Movie ticket. If you haven't seen a vibrant, alive downtown in a while, Lewisburg is a real treat. Small town conservative meets liberal University with respect and a little healthy tension. The selection of movies pushes the envelope with avant garde and independent movies and a smattering of first runs and classics. Ticket prices are a bit less than the multiplexes and if you join as a member there are other advantages as well. So glad to have it!
Special place to watch a movie while in a 1940's art deco movie theater. You can call ahead and reserve a couch! Can't beat a place with fresh popped popcorn with butter.
Restored older theatre with area in back that has couches, tall stools and tables so you can easily snack while watching. Occasional BYOB nights!
A small town theatre that shows a lovely mix of big name movies and more artsy titles. Has a snack bar and even table to sit. Some couches are available if you come early enough for the show. Beautiful decor and lighting.
A beautifully restored old-fashioned theatre. They charge a bit less than the traditional movie theatres, pour real melted butter on your popcorn, and offer free refills of soda, and I believe popcorn too! Extremely comfortable and if you get there early enough you can snag one of the couches in the back so you can really watch the show in style.
