The course is well maintained even after the winter they had. Staff was friendly and never felt pushed on the course.
Usually not busy, lots of choices for different courses and challenges. They have North and South courses with options for long and short games.Staff is friendly and helpful and the scenery is beautiful.
Had a fantastic time during our stay! The staff here are amazing, fast, friendly and very helpful. The courses were terrific, now if it had only not rained, though we played anyways! Thank you for a wonderful time and hope to see you all soon.
I'll write this review on the dining here. I live locally and almost everything I have had on their menu is very good. USB cooked subs, Bruschetta, Perch, several of the lunch sandwiches all excellent. However, the service is terrible. THe people are friendly, but prepare to wait double the amount of time to get your food that you would anywhere else whether they are busy or not.
Great place for a group to go for golf as everything (food / bar / lodging / golf courses) are all on site. The 2 - 18 hole courses are challenging and well kept. While the motel part isn't flashy, it's certainly fine for a golf group get away. The price is very reasonable, especially for someone used to "Canadian golf prices" when you consider you get golf, lodging, breakfast and dinner. One down side though, was the dinners. Last year I went there in June with my son on a 2 night package and we were able to order off of the menu's (anything we wanted, steaks, chops, etc) and the food was great. I bragged about the place and the meals all winter. This year when I was there they had a buffet set up for dinners - and we were not able to order off of the menus. The buffets are extreamly dissapointing. Chicken pot pie, some pork dish that was unrecognizable, and cheap chicken thighs and legs. When booking next year, I'll be certain to get a guarantee that we will be able to order al a cart.
My husband and I were there with another couple for 4 nights for golf. Here are the items on the pro side of the list: you do not have to drive to the north or south course once you arrive, the breakfast and dinner meals were very tasty and hearty. A nice selection to chose from especially if you are there for a few days, each course has it's own appeal; we did not find one 1$1000 for the trip, no amenities in the room, aside from one day there was no starter on the course, as a result groups would head to the clubhouse to grab a bit to eat and then come back to the course and expect to start play again, pace of play was slow a couple of times and as there was no ranger, there was no one to monitor, the bunkers had some larger than normal stones in it. We would return again but stay in the hotel with the two queen size beds with internet access. The front desk and restaurant closes at night ~ 10 pm.
Once again we enjoyed the hospitality of the Fabbri family and their employees at Lakeview Hills. When we booked the outing, Amanda explained that the South course was having major work done on it and only the first 9 holes were playable. They weren't actually open for packages until the weekend, but accommodated us and another couple. We booked the North course, which is very challenging and we always enjoy playing. The course is well-kept and we were surprised that it wasn't as wet as we had expected. Our room had been redecorated recently and was very attractive, spotlessly clean and met all our expectations. The Dining Room was not fully open for the season, but we enjoyed lunch, dinner and breakfast at specified times. The menu selections for the package were limited; but we were fine with the offerings. The food was great as usual.Special thanks to Dennis, Sue and Amanda. We will be back in the fall!
Our girls group have traveled to this resort for a few years now for a long weekend. They have 2 golf courses to play, the North Course and the South Course. Accommodations and meals are included in the package and it's great when we can come in on a Friday, golf on Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday and don't have to worry about packing up our clubs after each round, as they keep them on the carts for us and they are ready to go the next day. Staff and wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice golf package.
Quiet rooms with a great view of the golf course. Queen size beds are comfortable; bring your own pillows, not great quality. TV with cable. Good size bath, but low-water pressure; small towels. Restaurant serves quality food, especially for breakfast; just a short walk away.
All around fantastic! Accomodations, service and food. The staff went out of there way to make sure our weekend was perfect.
