Wife and daughter got a case, very good tasting sweet wines.I did not care for the dry wines they had, but worth a trip.Neat looking place with plenty of parking and good time for a tasting.Prices were very reasonable and you get a 10% discount when you buy a case.
We wanted a friendly, laid back winery..and certainly discovered that atmosphere and so much more at the Weathervane winery. Knowlegable staff got us right on track, tasting sweet wines and a new wine Green Apple..we enjoyed MOST of the sweet wines, making our taste buds deceide. Well, we ended up bringing home a delicious combination of all of the sweet wines to savor. We ended up running into friends and sharing a bottle outside at the seating area! What a fun day!
If you haven't been to their Wine Down Friday Nights, you are MISSING OUT! So much fun! Their wine is first-rate and the atmosphere is very serene. Take time to check it out. It's worth the trip!
This feels remote and very private but is easily reached from almost anywhere in the Triad. The setting is beautiful, the facility equally so and the wine is very tasty. An added bonus in the availability of live music on some weekend nights. We heard Lyn Koonce and Friends and it made our evening truly special.
What a find.we went to see if the wines are up to N.C.Quality,Mind blowing to say the least.all very well made, well balanced,& intense.A definite go to place, over & over again.
Weathervane is a very nice small winery and the staff are all knowledgeable and very welcoming. The tasting bar/gift shop is nice and they have recently expanded with an events area. I was there on a quiet Sunday afternoon and had a very enjoyable visit. Some of their wines are notto my liking, but I found one I did like and my friend also found something. I will be going backnext week for holiday gifts.
This is a decent winery. None of the wines made us go cuckoo but we enjoyed the wine tasting. It is worth stopping by if you are in the area but you don't want to make this the main reason for your trip. The owner did have a pleasant personality if that's worth anything.
I love visiting this beautiful winery! You should definitely do the wine tasting! I like sweet wine and the Strawberry wine is to die for!
What a fun place to visit! Check their website for special events --- they regularly have entertainment and sometimes food provided by Chef Dion Sprenkle, the owner of another local establishment. Wines are very popular, staff very friendly.
Visited here after lunch at another area winery. Since my spouse likes only sweet wines, we decided to taste their sweet fruit wines. We were in for a treat. The wines were very tasty without being super sweet, a good compromise for us. Our bartender was very knowledgeable and quite the salesman. We will visit again!!
