Thanks so much for the nice review. We have a great attraction right in the heart of the White Mountains. Our staff had a great time with your group as well. I hope you will be able to visit us again next year. We can BEARLY wait to see you...again! Anne
Main building was closed but got to see the bears! There still is a scenic train that leaves from that lot. It was fun to sit and watch the bears and see people reactions to seeing the bears.
I know the park on a whole is a nice adventure for the family. But the trading post on it's own is basically just a tourist magnet, which of course, what it is meant to be. the staff was very nice but the place was way too crowded to enjoy.
We had been to some great country stores in VT, MA and NH. We were expecting to see some unique, funny, interesting and well-crafted merchandise. Instead we walked into a shop that was full of things no one should buy, nothing original and just generally creepy. The trained bear show was something that the humane society should put an end to.
This is a place where generations of families return to. I loved it as a kid and then loved bringing my children there and now bringing my grandson it never disappoints. Always a fun time. We never drive by without at least stopping to take a peek at the bears.
Not being from New England, I was told that I should visit Clark's Trading Post when I went to New Hampshire. I suppose it had a few novelties, such as the Bears and museums; however, most attractions were very corny and child oriented. I suppose I am glad I can say that I have now been to Clark's Trading Post... but will not likely return.
A great family attraction! Lots of fun for kids and adults that like to bring out the kid in them! They have bear shows, that are a lot of fun, the train ride where you are being chased by the wolfman, Merlin's Mystical Mansion where you feel like you are being turned upside down, and also Tuttles Rustic House where you are walking sideways!! It's a good place to come and laugh and be silly! We have no children, and we had a good time!
To say Clark's is unique is an understatement. It is a wonderful place for the whole family. Lots to see and do. Take your time in the museums and historical buildings. There are so many great things to see and many cool antiques. Follow the history of the Clark family, their early dog sledding days and history with training black bears!
This is an amazing place for kids. My parents would take us there many a summer and I continue the tradition. Lots of fun things for them to do. Bumping boats, segways, train ride, workshops and lots of fun stuff. Highly recommended.
