It is a great place looking over the 7 lockers and the lake. Do it if you can it is a great experience!
We took a canal trip and LOVED it, the locks were great and it was a great way to see the country side.
The locks at Bergs are beautiful. Take the time to go there if you pass by. Eat some thai food served there and enjoy the view over Göta kanal and the peacful waters.
Very nice and interesting! Don't miss this if you are in the Linköping area by summer! Very interesting to see the boats travel through the locks and a beautiful place!
A beautiful and peaceful place with a scenic view of the Roxen lake. A great place to picnic as well.
Had the feeling to be a kid again At Christmas eve! It was great to see those several "sluss" and the boats moving ahead slowly. The time had stopped and the Staff taking care of the show nice to talk to. My son enjoyed it a lot too. We spend more than one hour observing the show! Great!
I love to walk along the locks, seeing the boats travel up and down. This is probably the most interesting part of Göta Kanal and there are many things going on here most of the day. If you go to Sweden, this is a place you should see.
A challenge to transiting boat-owners, a popular tourist attraction and a magnificent piece of Gata Kanal engineering history, all in a picturesque setting!
The Swedes know how to relax and watch the world in front of them. The Gota Kanal is the perfect place to watch boats go through the canal, and watch the Swedish people watching the boats. Make sure to get a weinernugget ice cream cone to eat while you watch.
I took a prawn cruise on Lake Roxen with the ship Wasa Leijon one year ago. Then I thought it was a special and wonderful experience! So tonight I did it again, and I had looked much forward to it. But I was disappointed, because many little things had become worse since last year:- the staff insisted on payment already when we went aboard, which caused long queues and very much irritation. Last year you got your bill with everything included to your table before leaving- the service was very slow. The cruise began at 7 PM. We were very hungry, as we had saved up our appetites. But we did not receive our drinks until 7.40, and it was almost 8 before the shrimps arrived- they had crammed more seats into the boat, and it became very cramped as a result. The sofas they intended for three people could hardly hold three adults, and the tables were to small and to low. I sat with an iron bar against my knee, and it was very difficult to get out from your seat. WHAT would have happened in an emergency..?- the table clothes were crumpled- the bread was dry and stale- the waitress did not remember what wine she had served the last time- if you did not insist, you did not get a new glass of wine in a fresh glass- last year everybody got a carafe of icewater with lemon slices and glasses on their table. Tonight we had to ask for it, and we had to remind the waitress because she forgot. When we finally got the water, it was luke-warm with no ice and no slices- Last year you could get a half-carafe of wine, but this year this was absolutely impossible. It was only one glass at a time, or a full bottle- last year the captain now and then drove the boat very quickly, so that one could really feel the speed and the wind. He did not do this at all this year- the singer did not perform as much as last year. He sang only three or four songs in a row - and then he had to take a long break in betweenAll in all, I must still say this cruise is a good idea, if you are in Linköping and want to experience a Swedish summer night! It is just not premium standard anymore.
