Easy to moderate hiking. Round trip is about 6 miles. Good for after work hike from early spring through late fall.
This park is so close to Denver but, even closer to where we live. The rocks are amazing and the trails clearly marked. The trail we hiked was not flat and our kids complained the whole time but, the views were amazing and we saw a variety of wildlife. We loved all the raptors we saw and it was the only thing that kept our 7 and 9 year old going. Overall, great hike in a beautiful place.
This is one of many beautiful places in Colorado. With many biking and hiking trails. Anytime of year this is a wonderful place to enjoy.
This is a great place to hike and take in the views of the city of Denver from a close in park. Its free and the trails are easy to follow. It has a few options for the trail choices, but you can decide based on the objective (i.e. easy walk to more work with elevation gains). If you choose to go to the top of the peaks, you will be rewarded with views for a relative short climb.
This is a great little park. But you need to hike/bike a steep grade to get to the top. But once there you have great views of the mountains and the metro area.
Great trails for both activities. Bikes not allowed on some trails. Super early and late season hiking, etc. Great views and wild flowers, especially the cactus in the spring. Close to town and easy to park.
While traveling we went here to do a little walking. It was a great place. Beautiful location and wonderful well marked trails. There are lots of trails - we took one that was about 2.8 miles. It was moderately strenous going uphill and some steeper declines but very doable in just tennis shoes for liesure fun. It is a free park.
This is a well-maintained park with plenty of parking, restrooms and picnic pavilions. There are several hiking/biking trails of varying difficulty. They can become crowded on weekends but not too badly. Parts of the trails have shade, so you are not hiking totally exposed the entire time, which I like. Park allows dogs on leashes.
open spaces with a well groomed trail plus a wonderful soul inspiring view. clean, well preserved and friendly users.
I live up the hill from the park and every day offers a beautiful view as you emerge from the valley. A lot of great views of the Denver metro area without a lot of burdensome/strenuous hiking. Several trails and good to snow shoe along the trails as well.
