This is a large park that has a bike/pedestrian trail around a pretty lake as its main feature. There are lots of ammenities: skate park, two playgrounds, lots of baseball and soccer fields, batting cages, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas, and a concert pavillion. There is always a lot happening here. We like to start or end a stroll at Starbucks or Einstein Bagels and often include a stop at Columbine Library. The grassy area by the pavillion is a prime spot to enjoy the sunset over the mountains. This is a great regional hang out for people of all ages. It seems pretty safe too - I have never encountered any problems though I have heard about some problems at the skate park. It is administered through Foothills Parks and Recreation. Go to their website to learn about concerts and special events or to reserve picnic pavillions for group events. ifoothills.org.
I walk the lake almost every morning and always have a beautiful view! The have free concerts in the summer and all kinds of events. I am so happy I live so close to the heaven on earth!
Beautiful park - beautiful views - lots of space and attractions. Great for kids sports, to take a walk around the lake (stunning!), to play at the skate park or to watch fireworks - they put on pretty darn big shows!
Great park with ball fields, library, picnic shelters, playground and stage for summer programs. Shops, food shops, etc. in general area- great for families, etc
Such a great way to start off the Independence Day weekend. There are lots of things to do while waiting for the show to begin, bounce houses, food vendors, beer garden! And a special treat this year...a free laser show to accompany the amazing fireworks! Well done!
Tons of baseball and softball at this great complex. It sits next to a wonderful but small lake and lots of area to run.
If you can't find what you need at this park, you're just too picky! This is a simply MASSIVE park, with multiple playgrounds, paths, pavilions, and sports fields. It is bordered by a public library on the northwest corner, and Columbine High School on the southeast side. Toward the center is the Columbine Memorial (from the school shooting over a decade ago). The park is level, but rises toward the center in kind of ridge, and then dips back down again to an amphitheater which can be used for events or shows. Along the top of the ridge, which also has some of the restroom facilities and playgrounds, a paved bike/walk path runs and leads you all the way around a tangent lake. (On the other side of the lake are shopping and dining venues, as well as some residences and a health care facility.)There is also a skate park on the northern half of the park.See? Whether you're here for a picnic, or a party, or just some play time for the kids, or to watch your teen try their skateboard stunts, you've got it here!
Clement Park is the community gathering place for South Jefferson County. Mutliple festivals take place throughout the year, culminating with Summerset in September. Walking the path around Johnson Reservoir is always a favorite! Picnic sites, Columbine Memorial, trails, baseball fields, batting cages, playgrounds, volleyball pits and more are available.
