When you start to walk in the city you will find yourself in this square.. İn summer and winter that place is lovely.. Dont forget to try cakes. !!!
I love here! So many unique shops, food stands, and souvenirs shops! This is the best place to spend your New Years and Christmas! Near by the museum and the old town(city centre), we will see the historical church and alley ways that would take you to the 13 century Medieval Times. Love it!
the city spirit lives here! coffee, yummies, souvenirs, famous pavement and old buildings- all here waiting for you to admire. everything is sooo attractive, so grab your money and enjoy yourself! come here in the evening to listen to some talented musicians for freeeee!
I was here in 2005, and how it's changed! Gone are the pot holes, stray dogs and crass advertising. This place has been compete renovated and modernised. A plethora of restaurants, cafes and shops if all kinds, immaculately presented and all with superb staff. English is accepted everywhere, and so will you charge card be too. Comparable to Tallinn or Riga, Lviv has been spruced up to impress, with a reliable tram service on some of which you can use wifi. With so many places to eat, drink and explore, all coming under the same 'bonus card' scheme, it's an excellent weekend away.
Great views from the top of the Town Hall - you need to have some stamina but its well worth it and there are panoramic maps so you know what sights you are looking at.
Visited in November and was getting on the colder side, but was very entertained by all the action. There is a real buzz in the air. The street performers are entertaining, (loved the giant bear! Haha) and the vibe is electric.
All famous Tsukernya/dinner/lunch places are in there or in 50 metres. Look for Lokal brand names and their card
I have been to many places in Europe for Christmas, but for today Lviv is the best. The atmosphere at the Market Square magic! This year there were a huge number of people. Come necessarily!!!
The square is surrounded with restaurants, pubs, small shops and very historical old buildings. Certainly, all visitors should take a break here for lanch, dinner, coffee or drink beer.
So much to see and do. You keep finding new things every time you visit. You will always return! here and find something new
