Another enjoyable visit. This time with 10 other friends. The staff are so helpful. Everyone really the night prior to a visit to a local theatre. The pizzas are amazing and very reasonable priced. This is great real ale pub and should be on your list to visit if in Liverpool
This place can be found very close to Lime St station. Regular ales in tap, some real ales, classic pub though their speciality is their pizza service. And decent they were as well. So if you have half an hour before your train goes, you could do worse than have a pint and pizza here.
Went here after a Liverpool game with my dad top pizza, great price and top service.Pizza was really good likewise with the service will certainly return Thank you
We were visiting Liverpool and had done some homework on Tripadviser and also we have a Tastecard so looked up who took that. My husband likes real ale, so we ended up here for the beer and to use the Tastecard. It was a little quiet, not as bustling as we'd expected (Thursday night) but maybe because there didn't seem to be anything on at the Theatre. Anyhow, both beer and pizzas were excellent and very good value when you get one free with the card.
When u walk in it looks like a small friendly old fashioned pub great decoration and lovely seating. The menu is small mainly pizza and it was amazing on a cutting board with a pizza cutter great for one lovely thin stone baked pizza will be going again.
Lovely cocktails, fab history of the place, gorgeous pizza and lovely staff! Definitely visit again and highly recommended cute little pub!
Visited there this weekend with a deal for cocktails. Great cosy pub with friendly atmosphere & staff were fantastic, thanks Sarah & Lil. Returned next day to try out the pizzas, all made from fresh on the premises & delicious. Well worth a visit.
Pizzas are freshly made and delicious. Menu has more choice now so two can share a pizza and side for £11 (the nachos are a must!). Friendly atmosphere, tables not made for couples, but strangers happy to share so meet lots of different, friendly people. Many people come and go due to the proximity to the Liverpool Empire theatre. Cocktails are £3.50 each; excellent value and very tasty. Made many return visits.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a 2 night break in the city and had already decided to visit Ma Egerton's due to it's close location to our hotel . What a joy !!!!! We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered and loved every moment of our times in this great little pub. Ian and the staff are terrific and if you are in town on a Monday night and like pub quizzes that are testing but not too hard and also barrels of fun due to the resident guest quiz master then this is a place not to be missed . Hot food is also available in the form of freshly cooked super thin crust pizzas which are amazing . Tasty , full of toppings and served to you on a board with a cutter so if you are a triangle or square or just a random slasher kinda person then you just go for it and slice it up however you like . Cheese boards and ploughman's etc are also available but we never got chance to sample these . Located just opposite the lower entrance/exit to Lime Street station , it's perfect for a quick drink with a warm n friendly welcome before/after your journey .A proper delight !!I would definitely reccomend this pub for a visit and will deffo call in again when we visit Liverpool in the future .
Everything we ate was far superior to most other Italian style restaurants in Liverpool. Great ingredients perfectly cooked. There was a sing along piano night (on Fridays). This started when we had finished our meal. Lots of great talent in the room!! We went for a meal and ended up staggering home at 2:00am.
