Noah's Ark is truly an amazing place and you can see the love that they have for these rescued animals. No special hype like the major theme parks. I would highly recommend the Walk on the Wild Tour. You're only a chain linked fence away from some beautiful animals and can take outstanding pictures!
Noah's Ark is simply remarkable. The animals and their stories of survival are heart warming. Each and every animal is well kept and the grounds are nicely maintained. During my visit my famIly & I truly felt welcomed; as staff members greeted us and gave insight in to the lives of the animals. I certainly plan on visiting again.
My husband and I have been wanting to go for a few years. We went for our wedding anniversary. The volunteers were very helpful. The animals were very friendly. It was very clean. Surprisingly, no smell at all. My only issue was the fire ant hills. I wore sandals, mistake. Next time, I will wear close toed shoes.
This is a nice place to visit south of the city, not as many animals as Atlanta Zoo but this is more of a rescue sanctuary, which is great. There are Lion's, Tiger's, and Bears. This is a great place to take younger children, there is no entrance fee, but donations are recommended, it cost a lot of money to feed all those animals!!
For travelers, Noah’s Ark is definitely worth a visit especially if you have children. It is within close distance to Interstate 75. They have a multitude of animals at the location and education information in the building. They take donations. They also have picnic tables should you decide to have lunch while visiting. Highly recommend the visit. It’s not every day you can see a Lion, Tiger, and Bear together in the same habitat!
This is a nice place to take family or even go alone. Every animal has a story and even better is the story of Noah's Ark itself. I'm proud to have an organization like this nearby. If you're in Locust Grove for any amount of time (or just passing through) you won't regret stopping in.
Noah's Ark is a animal habitat for abandoned animals, some confiscated from sellers trafficking exotic animals illegally and others held in small side-show or circus pins or cages for most of their lives. This wonderful place was the dream of founder and director, Jama Connor Hedgecoth, who with her remarkable staff shelter, care for and feed over 1500 animals. My friends and I were amazed at the by uplifting experience...
Another mystery tour led us to Noah's Ark. We were all amazed that we got as close to some of the animals as we did without being separated by a thick glass or 3 stories above the den. All of the animals were spectacular to view, especially the big tiger. The visitor center has 2 really big pythons to view and the grounds appear to be well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly and informative. There is no admission fee but donations are gladly accepted. Our kids as well as me and the hubby really enjoyed the stroll through the compound. There are plenty of picnic tables so grab your lunch and the family and go visit. Recommend!!!
We spent the morning wandering around the park and saw several big cats and other wild animals in a natural setting. They all looked happy and healthy. The highlight is seeing BLT - a heartwarming success story. It's lion, tiger, and bear - OH my!
We visited this center because of following their BLT (Bear, Lion and Tiger) who live together in harmony. This center cares for a multitude of various rescued animals and the facilities are extremely clean and the animals well cared for with plenty of 'roaming' room! There is a picnic area and welcome center. There is NO COST to see the wonderful facility and the staff (most all of whom are volunteers) are very knowledgeable and friendly. Please go and support this facility and while your are there - check out BLT and say hello to the staff.
