wonderful locale and grounds, with very good wine!nice to sample some wine and play a few rounds of bocce ball. We often stop here on our way back to Hwy 17 from Loma Prieta Winery.

Attentive staff, very welcoming to dogs too! The server even brought iced water for the dog in a lively dish. Relaxing grounds, wonderful way to spend a few hours passing time and drinking wine.

Regale Winery has a very nice facility in the hills. Particularly later in the day the view is lovely, though late sun in the summer is right into your eyes. The gardens are immaculate and inviting, and there are plenty of places to picnic or just relax, with a nice atmosphere. The wines are good, but not outstanding, and priced like gold medal winners. Of those I tasted the Pinots were the best. Like a lot of current wineries Regale puts a lot of stock into a loyalty program with memberships touted, and there are many events at the winery to cater to such membership. Overall certainly worth a visit if you are in the Los Gatos area, but for serious wine affectionados might be a bit disappointing.

The Regale Winery was stunning! The building reminds me of a Tuscan villa. There patio and surrounding landscape are perfect for a picnic. I was told by staff that they often host private parties as well. The wines were great, especially the pinot. The staff were very friendly and inviting. I will absolutely recommend this winery to friends and family visiting the Silicon Valley.

Located in the serenity of Los Gatos off hwy 17, the winery is a bit far and not near the downtown. It is inspired by the Italian style villas and provides a pleasant feel upon entering the premises.6 flight tastings are offered for $10 and the wine selection is good. Staff is friendly and courteous. There is outdoor seating for the guests and the views are very relaxing and green.It has a garden with beautiful fountains and a spiral herb garden with a outdoor fireplace.If you are in or around the area it is worth checking out but not worth a special drive from a long distance like San Francisco.

Just a short drive away to the top of the Santa Cruz Summit is the Regale Winery.These wines are just a wonderful tasting experience and to top it off ...the stunning view from the top of the summit is just gorgeous. You will not be disappointed, The Cab Franc is just superb ... full of life in a glass.

The smallish tasting room is in a two storey Tuscan style building on Summit Rd. about 3.1 miles east of Highway 17. But the best feature of Regale is reserved for members of the Regale Wine Club--access to the surrounding grounds outside the tasting room, which features many tables, a large lawn to sit on, fountains, a wood fired pizza oven, a view of the forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the home vineyard, and Burrell School Winery just up the hill. Open Saturdays and Sundays only noon-5:00 p.m. Tasting is also free to members and their guests--five wines. They have facilities upstairs for private gatherings, weddings, etc.On selected days restaurants from the area bring food for purchase. February 22 & 23, 2014 featured an excellent paella (only $12.00 for a very large portion)prepared by Palacio restaurant in Los Gatos, along with tricolor chips and guacamole ($8.00), Ceviche de Camarones ($9.00), and pastel de tres leches ($7.00). Double D's in Los Gatos served wings and Cole slaw.It's an adults only facility, so the day is peaceful as you eat, enjoy the wine, the air, and the company, without a bunch of screaming little urchins (aka mommy's little dears) running around.
