The forest walk was recommended by our motel and they were right. Lovely setting and easy to find and navigate.
Loved it, pleasant weather, not too many people around. We went to the visitor centre to get some information about the walk paths. We followed their suggestion and loved the walk. The trees are huge!! Well marked routes.
Another good place to visit with a lovely walk through the redwood trees with some towering around 50 plus meters. The spring part of the way round produces 4.5 million litres of water per hour and tastes mighty good . Take an empty bottle with you so collect some to drink. Trout in the incredibly clear river the spring creates.
Beautiful Redwood we enjoyed the 40 minutes scenic walk .. tranquil and quiet .. not commercially crowded and 'touristy'
This was just ok for me. It can be a peaceful walk with some beauty to see but wouldn't go out of my way to see this place. It's free and if you are in the area and have some time then of course check it out.
The main walk is just boring redwoods. Its possible (ask at information) to take part of another walk (green? violet?) to the ridge through different trees and views. This is really really nice - do it!
Loved the feel of this forest park with their well laid out and sign posted walks and tracks. The Redwoods look so well looked after and tracks well maintained. Not to be missed!
Went on a walk with family was great looking at everything drank from the springs was beautiful I would do it again and again
We needed a place to relax while waiting for our motel room to be ready. We played in the forest, bought a snack and used the facilities! great spot.
Very picturesque. Great photo opportunities. Easy to get to from Rotorua, only a 5 minute drive. Take time to go on some of the hiking trails, but be sure to wear good shoes. You don't need hiking boots, as the trails are good, but my ballet flats didn't work for me.
