Absolutely amazing! The cobblestone entrance intrigue me! Just to think of the people in the past entering the castle in all its grandeur captured my attention! As one stnads in awe in many areas inside the castle walls, one can only imagine life during the days when royalty lived here. Nothing compares to the 'hands on' experience you have when you visit here. Words fail me to describe my feelings as I wandered around the grounds, sttod high on the lkout points, viewed the beels in the Bell Tower. This IS a must to see when you visit Lutsk. This castle is in the Old City so that means there are many other very interesting spots to enjoy while here! Days are what one needs to truly enjoy walking these streets!
This castle has won the competition "7 Wonders of Ukraine." it was built in the 14th century Lithuanian prince Lubart. on the territory of the castle there are 3 of the museum: "The Museum of the book", "Museum of Bells," "Art Museum". you have to necessarily take a video camera. under the castle is the cave. to tour there you need comfortable shoes. Tickets cost about $ 2.
Nice place to visit if you are in Luts'k.The entrance looks amazing and inside you can find lots of interesting places to visit - including The Museum of Books and the exhibition of bells. Near the castle is a nice restaurant.
Though when you initially go in, it doesn't look like there is going to much there, there are quite a number of exhibits. The remains of the first brick Orthodox Church are interesting and the extra you have to pay to get the commentary by the resident archeologist is definitely worth it.There could have been more things available in English and other languages. Even so, easily spent half a day there. Also, one of the museums inside was closed for cleaning, so missed out on the armour etc.
