At this restaurant, they do not accept credit cards or debit cards, so make sure to bring your cash. The name is Torreon del Monje ("El Torreon", in everyday conversations), but the bill/ticket says "Ariel Distribuidora Argentina de Aliment". The address, on the bill/ticket, says "Paseo de Galindes", and the street is named "Paseo Jesús de Galindez". Quite a welcome. The food is OK, and the view, from the tables at the terrace, is fine. There are no waiting lists so open your eyes and wait for a table to be emptied and make a plunge. Staff does its best. Restrooms are not fit for humans. The prices are convenient. The atmosphere/conversations that can be overheard are vulgar. Put on your headphones and listen to your own music.
muy bueno para ir a comer y disfrutar de las odaliscas y del mar, en temporada se suele llenar, tratar de ir temprano
food is good, great location and view, street parking kinda tough sometimes depending on the day of the week and season; pretty much can't go wrong here, bring your camera, there is also some history behind the scenes, ask and find out, tye had a tattoo convention there I went to last year as well as other events
the building is beautiful, you just notice it when you see it for the first time. The bridge to get to it is also beautiful in the distance. When you get there sadly it looks dirty, old and like noone takes care of it. Sad because it has a great terrace to the sea and lot of space to use for tourists and locals.
Edificio emblematico de la ciudad por su excelente ubicacion, con una confiteria muy linda para disfrutar tanto de dia como de noche.
Very nice location with à beautiful view over Mar del Plata and the sea. Nice decorated and vet friendly staff and the food was also good.
Torreon del Monje is a very nice building (remained me a castle tower) , with a beautiful view. Great for tea time or drink something. I beleive they also serve dinner.
Muy venido a menos. Se ve que hace tiempo que no invierten en sillas , mesas ,etc.Ademas a la hora más linda para sentarse en la terraza , la cierran y tenes que ir adentro. Pensarlo antes de ir.
I went to a big event there on the weekend of October, 12th.The place was overcrowded and very warm. Drinks were too expensive and the place to leave your bags or coats (apart from costing $30 each object), was super bad organized-all clothes messed up in a big table-.To make things worse, that room collapsed of people who wanted their coats or bags, at the end of the party and my friends and I were injured because boys and girls made pressure to be the first one to pick them up.
Gran edificio arquitectónico de la ciudad, es un icono, vale la pena pasar para verlo, pero no dedicarle mucho tiempo, el resto del lugar más que normal...
