a quiet beautiful place here, with great restaurants and service. swim-able beach most days. great sand. with nice little hotels across the road from the beach.
We liked the beach quite a bit during the day - there were plenty of spots to find lounge chairs, places to drink & eat, and the vendors were pleasant, not annoying. We disliked that in the evening there were only a few places to eat and there was really no places to go for entertainment, etc.
Likes: Good overall beach. Blue waters, great water temp and wind keeps the bugs away. Friendly staff and vacationers.Dislikes: Trash in some areas (although was very happy see vendors going out of their to randomly pick up trash and put it in the proper cans, haven't seen this elsewhere in the Carib). Food from restaurants was so-so, but the staff was very courteous and works hard for you.
The sun was hot in all its splendor and the water was good! It is a long stretch of beach. The point I went to is not far from Palm beach caribbean hotel. On the beach there is a bar for guests of the hotel and a shuttle service. Be careful when walking on the sand barefeet, I saw some broken bottles. There is the option to play volleyball but no one was there to guide..however, I did not mind that since I was there to enjoy the water.
El Agua no longer seems to be the most happening beach on Isla Margarita. Its main appeal is its sheer length. But as with the other beaches on the island the sand isn't pure white in colour. Nice enough place for a swim.
nice for relaxing day out. good food available. pleasant beach and seascape. sea temperature nice for a dip but sea bed very undulating, with a lot of swell & undercurrents so only suitable for strong experienced swimmers. children need to be closely supervised. be sure to carry ID as may be requested.
One of the most popular beaches of Margarita, a must see even though in my opinion not the best. Wave are quite big sometimes and dangerous for those who cannot swim..! Posadas and restaurants are available!
Great clean beach and restaurants I will recommend "La Isla" excellent customer service, great food and not over price will go again!!!
It's a nice beach, probably the best one of the island. I went there in a rainy day, so I couldn't enjoy the beach so much. I just took a walk and found it very beautiful.I guess if you are in Isla Margarita, this is not a beach you want to miss.
just returned from 6 weeks in Playa el Agua, Monday 15 th,2013,perfect weather, good beach, lived in a rented condo, very good pool, clean, and for a two bedroom two bathcroom, cheap for 600.00 a month.Unfortunately crime is rampant. We(tourists) and Venezuelans needed Capriles in as President to get some serious changes.Playa in my opinion is finished as a tourist destination nothing is happening there after 6.00P.M. unless you venture out to Restaurant Pacifico for a meal. Very liitle to do, no where to have a decent breakfast, but I liked it anyway, although I was robbed at 8.30A.m with lots of people around so leave your expensive jewelry at home, and be very aware of who is around you make sure your in a busy, safe area. I even talked to a Taxi driver who was robbed in Sambi Mall, had his gold necklace snatched off him. Do not venture away by yourself.
