My 9 year old wanted to play on a beach so we headed to Malin Beg to the beach. It was beautiful and a nice place to play in sand. I was a bit of a hike down the steps but still nice. We loved the entire Donegal area!!
I found this beach completely on accident while looking for my b&b. While it was closed, the views from the parking lot were gorgeous. Well worth it for that alone.
Situated on the chin on Ireland this beach is a cracker. Its a brief walk down some steps to get to the strand but worth the effort. Beautiful and remote.
You must visit here. The beach is worth the climb down and back up. The shelteres beach is a lovely place for a stroll and swim. The sand is beautiful and gold and the water torqouise on a sunny day. Make sure you stop here.
A gorgeous secluded cove with a lovely beach. However, if you go down the 160 steps be sure you can get back up again!!
We stopped off here on the way to Slieve league. The views from the parking area overlooking the beech and headlands are excellent. The beech is perfect spot for relaxing and reading a book.On our visit we were treated to some naturism:)
We came on this part of the world by accident one evening towards dark and decided it deserved to be explored so we stayed in a nearby hostel run by Frank (hostel was exceptionally clean and Frank great host) and in the morning headed to this most fantastic beach. It truly is a little piece of heaven. We spent a couple of hours just enjoying the peace and tranquility and had a swim in the beautiful clear water. We were the only ones there for most of the time. The beach is half moon in shape and as it is surrounded by cliffs/mountains it is nicely sheltered.
Without doubt one of the best beaches I have been to in the world and the best in UK. It's peaceful, sandy, lovely warm water on a nice day and crescent shaped. Just perfect and one that I will be returning to.
Another beautiful beach - one of my favourites. There is something very quiet and peaceful and relaxing about this little gem. The climb down to it and up from it might be daunting for some but worth it in the end.
It had become a joyful surprise to find so cozy beach when I was visiting Galway!Salt water and pleasant sand in Ireland = unforgettable atmosphere and cheerful swimming =D
