This experience that was very underwhelming. We saw the remains of what was an old dump where garbage was thrown into a cave. Don't recommend.
Good value for money and very interesting. . $12.50 (adult) for an hour tour.. Bit slow in the cafe at first but got better. Lots of stairs so not good for push chairs or people who can't walk to far .Head a good time and would recommendThanks
The entire Mount Gambier region is riddled with caves and these ones are right in the heart of the city. It's an interesting experience to descend into the caves and realise that you're actually underneath a fairly major highway! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative and the tour was worth the entry fee.
Worth having a look at his phenomenon, but it is a little disappointing compared to the Princess Margaret May caves.Lots of work by locals over the years have removed tons of rubbish from these caves to open them up for public viewing & cave divers.
A cave tour - reasonably priced - was amazing and well worth the visit. There are so many things to see in this town.Visit the blue lake and wildlife park both free entry.
Yeah this is a wet limestone cave and worth a look. Other limestone caves in the area eg Tantanoola & Margaret Rose & Naracoorte are pretty much dry. This one is used by divers who are mad and like to extreme dive through the narrow & dark under water ways.. Not for me , I'll stay on terra firma but a really nice place to visit
manager i think name is Jan was nasty and draconian towards the girls working there. very rude and rigid customer interaction. cave was average and very overpriced considering it was a tip until not that long ago. give it a miss and head to naracoorte caves.
Brilliant, met some cave divers just coming up who were very enthusiastic. The tour was great and the caves super, what a place and so much of it under the town. Highly recommedned
A great cafe resides above this sinkhole, however if you are there to see the cave system and not for going diving, I would recommend the Princess Margaret Rose Caves on the border of SA and Vic.
We did not like it. There was very little to see. I think we paid $2 per person but regret the time and money.
