Horseback...Maui...sunset...mountainside...what else do you need to know? Really nice staff who kindly helped me out when I lost my phone along the way (entirely my fault). What a stunning way to experience Maui.
We had a wonderful time on our ride. Mary and Frenchie were great tour guides and made it that much more enjoyable. The views were fantastic! Riding through the mountains at sunset was priceless. And the horses looked happy too:).
I still would recommend this if you are a tourist visiting Maui, but it is not a magical perfection. It was lovely hanging out with beautiful horses but when we got to the "Valley view" destination, it was like "This is it?" At the same time, it is good to see that the horses are well taken cared of.
Great Staff!!!!! Was greeted by Ray, gave me a nice overview of the place. Our tour guide was Jessie, and she was just so knowledgeable of the Island and even gave us a history lesson during the ride.Horses are well tempered and this would be a wonderful experience for young children also.Snacks were provided at a rest stop. where we were greeted by the local ducks.would definitely do this adventure again.Price is well within budget.
My wife and I had a really good ride with these folks. Jesse, our guide gave us a grand tour of the area we road thru, and lunch was made up of fresh subway sandwiches from a local vendor. the day was hot, but the breeze along the slopes made for a fun comfortable ride.
Our first trip to Maui, as horse owners we trail ride often back home, our guide Jesse provided everything we needed for an excellent day in the saddle. We met a few of the other staff and they were all great. Healthy horses and good equipment. We loved this place!!
We went on a last minute horseback riding adventure and it was very enjoyable. Drifter and Willie are very sweet horses and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. One of the best activities we did on the island.
We have ridden several places in the US, and twice through Lahaina stables. In fact, we had reservations another place but they cancelled due to "possible" rain. (It didn't). I would note that on Kauai they ride daily, rain or shine. Not sure what their issue was.... However, Lahaina stables were more than happy to have us back even on short notice! We really enjoy the relaxed nature of the ride and amazing views. Our group included a never before rider, and by the end of the ride, Mary had her so comfortable she agreed to try trotting and even wanted to go again! Mary was so good with her but still gave us all plenty of attention. And she was on it when a man dropped his lead rope, putting him and his horse in danger. We got to see some whales jump in the views as well. I would go again and recommend you go ride with them too. No experience required!
Love this place! Jesse was my guide and I felt as if we were friends. It was just the two of us on the lunch ride. She was so knowledgeable of the island for s girl from Florida! The ride was on my wish list 22 years ago but I sprained my ankle & couldn't ride. It was worth the wait. The stable and horses were well cared for. I am around horses every day at home so I'm no stranger to horses or what great living conditions should be. Thanks Jessie for a great start to an awesome vacation!
