Very cosy and all the seating is good. Really no bad seat. It is close to home and parking is below the theater.
They have a ton of great shows here, and dances that you can join in. Something for everyone! They have a book they send out every year if your on the mailing list, telling you all the shows they have. Plays, concerts, comedy shows. For everyone! :)
This is a great place to see a variety of live stage shows plus a film series fro m time to time. There is an art gallery on the premises with changing exhibits of mostly local artists, and a nice little gift shop. The lobby is attractive. What's missing is a regularly open coffee shop, although it does open for many events.
Wow... whoever designed this facility clearly knew next to nothing about sightlines or acoustics. This has to be one of the most strangely configured proscenium arch theatres I have ever seen. The house extends far too close to the stage- which is too high. the pit is too small- the wings too tight and the depth not equal to the width. It is no wonder that there is no resident theatre company here as this building lends itself to short-stay touring shows and (perhaps) music/dance recitals. Yikes!
I have been to many things at the ACT. Nice to have a venue in Maple Ridge and not have to drive into Vancouver. Their choice of plays is excellent. I bought season tickets. For those who have not been check it out
We go there several times a year. Friendly staff, great seats, excellent sound system. Also attend the art exhibition right there, at the ACT art gallery. Though the items displayed sometimes questionable - I am not a fan of "modern" (aka tasteless) art
This wonderful venue is a treat for those who live in the area. The wide variety of shows put on here is amazing. Prices are reasonable and the quality is of a very professional nature. They also provide a free service to local singer/songwriters to reach out to people every 2nd Tuesday of each month. For two hours people can come and listen to local entertainers perform for free. A small donation to the singers is asked for but not required.
I love this theatre for its many good acts, shows, comedy and musicals! I attend several performances each year either with a friend, relative, or quite often by myself. I've never once been disappointed and more often than not, delightfully impressed by the surprisingly high level of talent ad skills these performers, musicians bring to the stage. I only wish they served a tastier wine at the bar before the performance. Also, I would like the Season to last longer, beyond early Spring.
Attractive and well lit gallery, attached to the ACT Theatre. The Fibre Art Network show, ABSTRACTED, will be exhibited Sept. to the end of Oct. 2015!Explore abstraction. The show features fibre art: a realistic piece paired with an abstract piece.
This is an excellent venue to watch a play or show. Great seats resonable prices and a beautiful building
