Beautiful views overlooking Marblehead harbor and several nearby islands. Our church holds Sunday services in the Chandler Hovey park during the summer. It can be somewhat distracting as many sailboats, motorboats and kayakers make their way past the area.Definitely a "must" visit location if you're in Marblehead in the summer.
We were lucky enough to be able to watch the sailboats come in from the sailboat races on Sunday. Very nice park with restrooms and benches to sit and take in the view. Many people brought their own chairs for a day of relaxing.
A very differnent type of lighthouse. I thought it was very artistic. Worth a ride to see and walk around the beautiful park and see the ocean too.
This park and lighthouse is small but the view across the bay to Marblehead center is really pretty. If you are in Marblehead, it is worth taking in this view.
We spent the day here in Marblehead walking around sightseeing and capped it off with a visit to the lighthouse which did not disappoint.
The view was great. The lighthouse itself was nothing fancy. The ride to the park was great leading past Castle Rock and the many large homes. Worth the trip.
Chandler Hovey Park and Marblehead Lighthouse had beautiful views of the marina/harbour.The park had plenty of benches to sit and soak in the view. (hopefully it won't be too windy for you)
Its a great place to visit and get out and walk around across the harbor is Fort Sewall. Childrens Island and many markers are right there in the harbor. Great for wedding photos and engagement pictures as well as sunrise and sunsets
Went on a crisp but sunny Fall day. If you are stressed over life, just come here, take a seat on any number of benches, and take in the sights or read a book. Plenty of parking as well. Oh, and there's a unique lighthouse on the grounds of the park!
We drove out to Chandler Hovey Park to see the Lighthouse up close. There is a monument with history of the light and a list of the lighthouse keepers. The views of the harbor and surrounding islands was beautiful.
