Nice local place to watch a movie. Many youth working here. Most our friendly and attentive. Have had a few youth looking at device rather than concentrating on their customers.Have been to cleaner theaters.
I just love this movie theatre. Its small and not as fancy as the ones in bigger cities, but its one of the cleanest and friendliest movie theaters I've ever been to.
nice atmosphere but not crazy about the price of tickets or food thats why I am limited to going to movies, not always worth the cost.
Our cinema complex opened originally as a Kerosotes and was enjoyable to attend. They had a $5.00 movie night with a comp. popcorn and reasonable ticket prices on other days and was always clean. Fast forward to AMC, which bought out our Kerosotes, and the prices quickly went up. The $5.00 movie night has disappeared. There is still comp. popcorn on one evening at regular admission prices. I also think the cleanliness has slipped. It's the only game in town so I have to go, but it's not as enjoyable
Visited the Showplace 12 over V-Day. Because of the holiday, I knew the lines would be long, however, there was a cashier that appeared to be opened and it took him some time to motion the line over to him. Then upon getting the tickets I was asked for my Stubs card, which made me think I had to pay more for the tickets since I did not carry one. Next we ventured to the concession stand. After viewing the selections it seemed you could only get either small or large popcorn. We decided on a small combo and once we received it and saw how small it was we asked if there was a medium option. We were told yes, but that we could only get it if we carried a Stubs card to allow us to upgrade to the medium. What that was all about I do not know? It seems you have to carry this card to have any real selections. Not sure why they are running the theatre like this. What happened to just a simple small, medium, or large for your popcorn options. I think the theatre was better when it was a Kerosotes.
Typical movie theatre. Maybe a little cheaper than big city theatres. You can pre-purchase if needed for an opening movie. 12 theatres available as the title says. Because this is a smaller city....you don't have to arrive 30 - 40 ahead....10 min. ahead is ample time. Typical high cost movie treats available. Floor area available for wheelchairs or strollers. Easy to find....just behind Five Points Mall. All major credit cards accepted, Gift cards also available in $5 increments.
This is a great theater. There is stadium seating and good sound quality. The staff is friendly and the movies are current.Look for special promotions like STUBS and discount Tuesdays.
AMC is a great theatre. The service is outstanding and they have good discount programs. I highly recommend them!!!!
I miss the Kerosotes movie theatre we use to have because they would offer the $5 movie club and on Tuesday nights they also had free popcorn night. It was a nice change for something inexpensive to do on a Tuesday evening. Under the new franchise of AMC theatres the theatre is still well kept and clean and the staff has always been friendly and helpful, however the ticket prices increased and they no longer offer free refills on drinks and popcorn.
Too many cell phones....not clean enough, but fortunately the movie was fun with my grandson. Not quite the personal experience I remember from his age...
