Grand kids loved playing in the playground and riding their bikes along the walking pathsDon't forget to bring a loaf of bread with you to feed the ducks and birds off of the bridges
I enjoyed walking a long loop around this large park, including a stroll over a wooden bridge, to see many species of birds in the sanctuary area.
This is a great park with lots to do! I enjoy running around and through the different paths. There are many soccer fields, a dog park, lakes, and disc golf areas to enjoy too.
Year after year, this is just the best. The lights are beautiful, the workers are friendly, and, at $3 per car, you cannot beat the price. It was a bit of a wait the day after Christmas, but I guess that was to be expected. We probably waited 10-20 minutes before we got to the payment people. There are concessions available, and every inch is beautiful.
carousel, park trail to island with many species of birds, and other swamp creatures. ample parkinggreat playground for the kids and wonderful walking trail that we frequently enjoy, bark park also.wonderful park!
it is as crazy as looks on tv, lots of shops, bars restaurant, dont want to miss voodoo shops, lots of shirts, memorbably to look and buy, casino nearby, and steamwheeler
Walk the 2 mile track almost everyday. Such a relaxing setting with the trees and lagoons. So scenic.
Lots of wildlife to see - lots of different types of ducks and birds (tons of chickens/roosters too!!!) as well as the bunnies that get dumped after Easter, and the stray cats that live around the park as well. Great area for a picnic, jogging, or bike riding. We love to walk the dogs along the trail as well.
Great park! They have a free dog park my dog loves it there. Tons are area to run and play. Plenty of ducks to feed. Great place for a fun day with the family or a romantic date with a spouse.
I live close to this park. It becomes better and better every year. There is a walking/jogging path, with lakes interspersed throughout. There are exercise stations. There is disc golf. there are shelters to have picnics, or family reunions.there are soccer fields. There is a building you can rent for parties or weddings.they added an outdoor area where a band can play with a big meadow in front of it. It lost a lot of trees during Katrina, but they planted more. It is a well kept park. Oh, they added a dog park, too. There is a concession stand, and flying horses ride. You can rent paddle boats. Right now, there is a beautiful Christmas light display, costs $3.00, but totally worth it. We went on a nature tour in Texas, and the guide kept pointing out the egrets, herons, and ibis, along with other birds. He seemed surprised that we weren't getting all excited. I told him that we practically have those in our back yard, year round. I brought my daughter here to feed the birds when she was little, and 30 years later, she is still feeding the birds. One of my favorite places.
