They have an excellent collection of motorcycles from their beginning to present day. Along with awesome collection of motorcycles, they have pictures, toys, parts, memorabilia etc. museum is well planned and explains history of company. At the end you can sit on a Harley and take pictures. They have a variety of cycles to choose from all safely secured to the floor. There is a restaurant and gift shop here. Highly recommend this museum even if you are not a Motorcycle enthusiast
Yes, this is a fantastic museum, so say almost all of us. But here's a glimpse of some of my favorite parts. I've included a few pictures for you.1. The restoration storage area shows what's being bought and/or donated to the museum BEFORE it goes on display.2. Harley Davidson #1 - the first one ever made.3. The custom bike area with it's various ^*blings%#.4. The Japanese Tsunami victim found in America.5. Being able to sit on a Harley AND actually ride and throttle up one on a fixed treadmill for FREE!
The museum had lots of bikes to view. I personally enjoyed all the advertising from the early 1900's. It was interesting to see how the company progressed and the myriad of styles they produced.
This place is fantastic. All kinds of bikes to see from very old to very new. Saw so many gas tank designs it was great. Also go visit the Harley Davidson restaurant the food is great and service was the best
Quality exhibits, interesting displays. The employees were all friendly and full of interesting info. They all seemed to enjoy being there. Restaurant was good - a little pricey but great wait staff and food. Nice gift shop too. Great day in Milwaukee.
I have never owned a Harley and never will. Doesn’t matter: this is a first-class museum which ANYONE interested in transportation, history, sociology, the city of Milwaukee, or art and design will find engrossing. I took my 19-year old son over holiday break. At his age, they’re not easily impressed or easily entertained, but he really liked it! We spent over two hours there and could have spent twice that long. A must-see for both locals and visitors to Milwaukee.
My husband has a Harley and I'm his passenger. I had gotten a Groupon for the Museum. I'm so glad I did. I don't remember what I had paid , but it was a lot more inexpensive then what I would have paid at the entrance. Way " Overpriced" for the Museum!! I'm not that really into bikes, but usually when I go to a museum I find everything interesting, this was boring for my husband and myself.
I've been meaning to visit this museum for a while now, and finally got around to it...I went very early in the day to avoid any crowds - I was actually the 3rd person in that morning...It's a great walk through the history of both the motorcycle and HD, with lots of display models and areas to get involved in.
Amazing place even for the people who are not big into harley or motorcycles. It's worth the money to go. The restaurant in there is also really good. The food might be kinda pricey for some people, but worth every cent.
I'm not a bike rider but if I was, this place would have been heaven! I like bike's, even the idea of me riding one but the more practical side of me tells to err on the side of caution and stick to the cars. There's a lot of very clean bike's here, hundreds! This place definitely made me a fan! Who knows, I might ride one... one day!
