We saw the afternoon showing of The Grand Budapest Hotel. The theater prices can't be beat, the restoration is impressive, and the viewing and sound experience superb. If you haven't seen a show here, find time to do it soon.
This theater plays current releases in a beautiful old style theater surrounded by beautiful restaurants and shops that make up a great local neighborhood. Discounted prices, great surroundings and current releases. What's not to like.
I don't like going to other movie theaters because the Riverview is such a great place to watch a movie. It is large. The atmosphere says you are in a movie theater. The seats are new and clean. The movie selection is varied. The price is unbeatable. Popcorn is great. It is vintage! The Riverview owner also puts on events such as world soccer live and the place is packed and is a very exciting place to be. We are so lucky to have a theater owned biy a smart and inventive person. This is the way movies were meant to be watched.
Great 50's preserved theater. The GM wears a suit- it feels like an occasion every time you go; you feel special. I cannot say enough good things! And the butter is real butter on the popcorn!
The Riverview Theater is a movie theater with a nostalgic feel. While the movies aren't opening weekend fare, there are relatively new but for $2/person, you can't beat the price. The facility is pretty much like it's 1950's decor however some accommodations have been made to add wheelchair seating and modern projectors. There's only 1 auditorium (but it's pretty large so sell outs shouldn't be a concern) which explains the limited showtimes. Warning...sit near the front part of the theater for more leg room.
Big screen theater at its best. Price is right. Concessions are tasty and not over priced. Seating is comfy. Audience is well behaved. Lobby is retro as are the restrooms. Go, Go, Go.On street parking is always a bit of a walk from the theater.
The prices are the best in town, the seats are comfortable, and the popcorn has real butter yes I said real butter. If you haven't' discovered this movie theater check it out. The only down side is they don't always get the movies I want and you just never know what movies they will choose to have and how long they will be there for.
Large screen, stadium seating, popcorn with real butter, prices right out of our parent's generation - what not to like, right? So the films come around a little late, most of us do not have time to rush out and see every new movie. Wait until a few people tell you it is great, then go see it. Saves time!
You can not do better than the Riverview- excellent neighborhood place, great value, real butter on your popcorn. They have special showings during the holidays, and different shows from the cookie cutter places. I am so pleased to be able to take my family to such an affordable place. Thank you Riverview!!!
Lovely movie theater. Nice to go to a place that is not your standard chain theater. Popcorn really is good. Love the stadium style seating and how the patrons are often expressive enough to share the movie experience.
