Clean with nice shops. There is a harbour and marina there is beach and Lake Ontario access. The water is cold for swimming.
... even if you do not have a boat there ...Nice place for fun and some very good restaurants ... good for yourself and for your family.God bless you
Love the strip on Lakeshore Rd in Port Credit! What a great area to stroll through, dine in and shop in! There is so much to see and do and lots of restaurants.
one of the best places to spend evenings or weekends with friends and or families, you can enjoy shopping, scenery ,picnic in the park or next to lake ontario or just stroll down the streets and have a meal or a coffee.there are quite a good number of eateries and coffee shops.during warmer season port credit is almost packed with tourists and locals.
You don't have to go to Toronto for this cozy waterfront touristy feel. Lots of wonderful restaurants and little boutiques were you often find unique brands that you can't find anywhere else. beautiful flowers in the summer and lots of people out and about. It is a wonderful place to go for an afternoon or even just for a drink in the evening watching the lights in the boats. It is a part of Lakeshore.
Port Credit is a quaint town with great waterfront walking trails. There are also cute shops and lots of restaurant options on Lakeshore. Good night spots too, from pubs to more up-scale.
Me and my cousin made a pact that we would go there for 1-2 hours a week every week whenever the weather holds up (so every summer, autumn and spring) and I love this place. Just being around nature is so fulfilling. We also sometimes dine at the restaurant by port credit which is also very good! Would highly recommend. It got me active and motivated me to start exercising. Also I love watching all these happy people walk by with their dogs since I am an avid dog lover. It really improves my mood.
The area where the Credit River meets the lake is great for a romantic stroll. There's also a park on the West side. Views of the lake and the City are fine from the point,There are also some boutique shops nearby, but I have not spent much time there.
Port Credit is such a happy place! It has been a favorite haunt for my family and our guests. We have had picnics by the lake, long walks with our dogs and some nice long bike rides. Jack Darling is connected to the Rattray Marsh trail - this is on my hiking list this summer. But I love Port Credit not only for its beautiful lakeside parks. Jack Darling, Rhododendron..Richard Memorial Park but also for the little downtown joints. In summer the town comes alive when it hosts the Buskerfest, The Canada Day 'Paint the Town Red' events. I found out about these when my son volunteered there during his high school and I recommend every Mississauga citizen experiences these events at least once!
Just took a drive through town on our way back home to Niagara. Nice waterfront and lots of great restaurants and shops to wander.
