When in Mississauga, make sure you visit the 'Village with in the City'. So many lovely shops, restaurants, tea room. Have a pleasant walk down one side of Queen Street and up the other side, you will be pleasantly surprised at what you see and the friendly people you will meet.
It has an old town feel, with quaint shops, beauty salons & restaurants. Good amount of parking at the Shoppers' drug mart plaza. Many commercial properties are in the old bungalows, giving the town authenticity..
I love Streetsville! It is the perfect place to stroll, shop and have lunch with your girlfriends or man! I particularly like Upscale Resale , a consignment shop, Melt Grilled Cheese for sandwiches and Crowned Canines for gifts for my pets. Other stores there have great gift items too. You must spend an afternoon there.
Beamers, pedestrians and idiots everywhere. Cars "Sunday driving" at all times of day, hard to really navigate through the downtown. Avoid at all cost.
I was determined to attend the activities in Streetsville Village Square Sat. Sept.13. It was not crowded, and The event included fun activities and family entertainment.A nice place to visit & attend some activities with the family
If you want to experience the feeling of an old town in the centre of a modern community, I recommend down town Streetsville. Since moving to Mississauga, I have discovered the delights of this community within a community. You can walk the main street and enjoy a number of shops both quaint and practical. I recently discovered a great barber shop here as well. Take the time to visit. It's worth it.
Great restaurants and interesting stores...Particularly like the Christian/Catholic store next to the restaurant...
In my opinion it has the best mix of restaurants outside of port credit and a little easier and cheaper to get parking. With the newly renovated public square this is not the streeetsville you remember, check it out soon with great little shops offering different ideas for Christmas, Spas, Cafes, and more this is now my favourite place in the City.
Beautiful little village, would love to retire there. It is so quaint and nice to walk around and visit the shops. Very safe place
Great little town to visit especially the first weekend in June for the Honey and Bread festival and in October when the Samon run is going on.
