This museum near the caves of Ispica is a true beauty and shouldn't be missed. It is quite small (tour takes approximately half an hour) but every room is beautifully decorated and gives you a good impression of how life for a miller would look like.
we found this place pottering in the area, it was most interesting, the owner is the forth generation that runs it and took time to asnwer our questions
This is a tiny museum but fascinating and the owner who runs it and also runs the mill is wonderfully friendly and helpful. It does give you an insight into the history of everyday life in sicily. Overall the caves just a couple of hundred meters away and this are well worth a visit though best outside the heat of August perhaps.
Beautifully presented and fascinating water mill with a horizontal wheel and cave dwelling. English commentary provided during tour. Combine with a visit to the catacombs and churches in the archaeological park on the other side of the road.
This mill is a gem. People were so friendly and showed us round, very interesting. It's great to look at how people lived in the cave all those years ago
