The Slanted Rock tasting room is fine, if not for the view of the brewery equipment, the ambiance would be awful. We've visited about 4 times, and the service each time was good. The knowledge of the beer is good. Occasionally they have a guest beer on tap. The Slanted Rock beer quality is above average, and must be considered a nice addition to the growing Boise market brew scene.
I've only been to the tasting room once so the 4 stars is basically for their beer quality more than anything else...This is just a tasting/tap room, they don't have food of any kind (at least they didn't when I was there) so just come for the beer, which is excellent. The location isn't great & I have to assume they chose it cause it was cheep. It's basically in a strip-mall off the freeway between Meridian & Boise, which is close to exactly nowhere else I'd want to go.The Mister & I were the only people their aside from the bartender & the brew-master in the back and it was a bit awkward feeling, but I assume it must not feel that quiet and weird all the time, at least I hope it doesn't. We'll be back, but only because the beer is so good.
