Want to do something different? Try this place. A really QUALITY gun club; friendly, well run, safe, super facilities. Skeet, trap AND a terriffic sporting clays course (2 of them!). AND, the Coyote Valley Cowboys - a Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) Club hangs out there with another great course. Come down for the afternoon with some friends. Call ahead and schedule a lesson. Check out their web site. A great way to spend the day doing something really different.
I've been to Coyote Valley Sporting Clays 2 times for a corporate event. Each time I have accompanied a group of Japanese business partners who had never even touched a gun, let alone shoot a shotgun at moving targets. We enrolled in the Experience Package that provides an instructor with a group of 3 or 4 shooters. The instructor in our group was very knowledgeable and likeable and made the experience enjoyable for all the new guys. The clay range is a great place to shoot sporting clays. There are a variety of shooting stations that offer different patterns to shoot. I highly recommend thsi experience.
Bought for me and some friends for Christmas by our spouses we went down with some trepidation. However, the staff could not have been friendlier and easier to deal with. We hired a 20 gauge and off we went. We were, it must be confessed, truly useless as a group but the traps were well set up and easy to use. It would have been great t have had more coming towards the gun rather than way (just a personal preference) but overall huge fun and remarkably good value!
Love getting out to shoot some sporting clays? This is the place to do it. Great course and lots of fun. A great way to relax and spend some family time!
Visiting the Bay area for business a local colleague suggested that we'd take a day trip on a day off to this shooting range - what a great idea! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. There are guides/instructors available if needed and the regulars seem to be more than happy to share tips about the stations.Guns available for rent, ammo for sale and everything else you would need. Including a nice patio for a beer and chat after completing the course. The range has skeet, trap and sporting clays (20 stations) and we did the sporting course. The stations are fairly good and well designed, and the walking distances between stations are fine. The course gets busy on a weekend, and they don't take resevations, but the wait times at stations are reasonable.I thoroughly enjoyed the day at the range and would definitely go again if in the area with some extra time.
A great place to spend the day or for a team building event. Lots of fun, for non-shooters alike.Everyone in our group had fun. Some are even going to take up trap & skeet as a hobby. The folks in the pro-shop are super-friendly and knowledgeable. They also do FFL sanctioned firearms transfers (rifles & shotguns only - NO handguns).Over all a clean, well run operation. Even the ladies commented on how much fun they had!
This was my first time at a shooting range. At first it was a little bit intimidating because there are a lot of people here who know their stuff and a lot of shot guns going off form all different directions because they have the course. However, everyone, not just the staff, but also the people that come to shoot were super nice and took safety very seriously. People were happy to give us a little info and I noticed several times how fellow shooters might approach a novice and tell them how they should be doing something for safety, that made me feel super comfortable. My husband's new 12 gage had too much of a kick for me so we rented a 20 gage there, which was a nice option and not expensive at all. They sell ammo and it's not marked up too much, for someone who might have a concern about driving around with a gun and ammo in the trunk might prefer just buying the ammo here. They also sell a lot of great accessories for very reasonable prices, so it's great if you forgot safety glasses or ear plugs etc. Much better selection than many sporting good stores and better prices. If you are going for skeet or trap practice bring a hat, if it's a warm sunny day you will definitely need it. I will certainly be back, I think I found a new hobby. I can't wait to be good enough to try out the course.
This place is an absolute blast. I have been coming here for a few years now and always walk away with a smile. If you have your own shotgun bring it and about 100 rounds of #8. Maybea box of 7-1/2 for the longer shots. If you don't have a shotgun they rent for minimal fee and you can buy ammo. Just don't buy the trainer ammo. My buddy bought some for his kids 20ga and on both guns it kept jamming. They have a nice gun cleaning station on site. Plus, at the rear of the clubhouse (in back) a great BBQ lunch.
We love going here to relax with friends, shoot sporting clays and have a burger on the patio afterwards. great local owners and staff, first class facilities and fun, fun, fun!!
Like playing 18 holes of golf, but not so much walking. Each stand gives a different challenge. Staff are very friendly. Ammo is reasonably priced. Nice to relax with one beer at the end.
