Funplex was rated the top Family Entertainment Center (FEC) in North America, and I can see why! It was spectacular. There was just so much to do there! It had every kind of fun thing imaginable; bumper cars, gas and electric go-karts, bumper boats, bowling, A water park and swimming pool, amusement rides, mini golf, arcade games, laser tag, 2 different motion simulators! The food was great, and the customer service was even better. The people there helped us out finding the best armband package and they even had people who went outside with the kids and talked to the ride operators about which ride they wanted to go on. As for my favorite things there, well, I loved the amusement rides! My favorite was the new Fun Twister, a spinning pendulum ride that flipped you upside down…. Over 20 times! I have never seen anything like it anywhere! Another great ride was the roller coaster (Yes, this family entertainment center actually had a full-size roller coaster), The Funcoaster. It was very unique! I also enjoyed the 2 indoor motion simulator rides, one was a 4-D dark ride, pretty much a hi-tech, virtual reality, 3-D video game, and the other, a smaller less-intense motion simulator! As for the price, well, it’s a little high, but not bad considering all the fun stuff that place had, and it’s location just outside of Philidelphia!
We rented the VIP bowling suite with food package for my daughter's graduation party on June 14th. Our hostess and the staff were great and catered to our group. For a Saturday night it wasn't very crowded and for the rides we had to wait in line for, the wait was minimal. Would definitely recommend at the group rates. Our group ranged in ages from preschoolers to middle aged parents. All had a great time, we still receive thank you responses from guests.
Most employees work hard to make this a great experience for kids. One lazy employee in pool area was to busy on her cell phone to help us (fire her - she doesn't need the job. Lots of fun things to do. Safe environment.
My daughter loved this place. We played laser tag and bowling which was fun. After that we played some games and she went on a few rides. It was a little crowded but we were still available to do everything. A fun day.
I actually had a really fun time in the arcade and on the bumper boats. Laser tag was a bit of a joke...but there's many other things to do like bowling, go-karts, and other rides. Food is similar to an amusement park. I'd go again with or without kids...all of us in the group were above 30 LMAO
We were in the area so we check this place out. Very nice. We have been to many places like this and this one was one of the best. Place is kept very clean. Attractions looked very new and well maintained. Prices were reasonable compared to other locations. I would visit this place again if I am in the area.
So I went here one time and now I am done. The Pros- plenty of Arcade games, rides, indoor and outdoor go karts, small water park, ball pit, etc for school age children. Now the reason I will not go back- the staff! The day I went, there were several camps there. Kids were pushing ahead on the long lines, chaperone for the camps were scarce and there was no control over the chaos of kids in this place. There were even less staff and not one could be found on the floor. The worst employees could be found in the outside ice cream truck. I'll just use their first initial, but "C" was eating her own ice cream, while customers waited in long lines. "C" also had a good time flirting with "I". This left "M" to wait on the long line by herself. There needs to be a better structure of management in this place!
We were there for part of our family reunion. The rides were good, most of the adults were able to ride the go carts, free fall, roller coaster, tilt a whirl and some upside down ride. And a putt-putt area. There is a water park for the kids and pool. The inside had plenty of arcade games, bowling. The food was average. The area was small enough to enjoy without having to look for anyone. This also is a good place just to spend a few hours with up to pre teen kids.
I think this is one of jerseys best kept secrets! Very affordable and tons of options. Love how they realize most parents are there only for the kids and our rates are discounted. You can enter for free and pay per play, but I suggest the wrist bands for approx $30 bus ms you can do it ALL!Water park, amusement rides laser tag just to name a few. Unfortunately this is not a place for toddlers my son only had an option of playing with the balls in the foam room... After an hour I was over it, small kids can also do the water park but for parents who don't want to get wet you should avoid it.Over all I highly recommend, we had a great time.
Place is small, not much going on inside for games, and some small outside amusement rides. Got here 8/8/14, at 10:30am on a Friday morning. Best part was not many people in the place at that time, but that changed quick, and we left around 11:30am, one hour later because there were lines of 5 and 6 deep of far away NY City school buses that filled the complex parking lot, with many, many, many kids. Some running around bare footed, some without shirts on, and some just being very annoying. The lines for inside games, and outside rides grew to long, and the craziness of it all, took all the fun right out of it. It became more of a hassle than what it was worth, to small of a place for such large crowds they pack in, I could not even imagine being there on a weekend. The cost to do anything there is high, and you have deal with the aggravation as well. First time visiting, experienced it, and can say we will never return do to it's many bus loads of craziness packed into such a small environment. Cannot recommend this place.
