The botanic gardens are slightly off the main road up to Gallery Walk from Oxenford but are well worth the detour. There is good off road parking. The gardens have a good range of paths, from paved and fairly flat through a variety of planted areas to steep climbs through forest sections. There is also a nice boardwalk section through a grove of palms (a small taste of what can be seen in Palm Grove National Park a few kilometres to the south) and around the lake. A highlight is the bromeliad collection and the gazebo near the cherry blossom walk is well worth walking to for a peaceful spot to sit. In addition to the plants there's plenty of birdlife throughout the garden. There is no cafe at the gardens but there are plenty of places within a 5 minute drive, albeit up some of the steepest roads I've ever seen. But well worth a visit.
Went here on a Saturday close to dusk so didn't spend as long as we wanted. This is a great free garden with heaps of flowers and plants to see, well worth dropping in. I believe it's maintained purely by volunteers so drop a couple of dollars into the donation box.

Thank you for writing a review of the Gardens and I am pleased you enjoyed your visit. As you pointed out there is not much colour in the Gardens in January February though December is a good month. Most of our Hydrangers have finished flowering, along with the Azaleas, Agapanthas and Wisteria. I am pleased you were able to see the bird life. A family of Tawny Frogmouths are in residence at present and a family of Dusky Moor Hens have built a nest on our Dragonfly sculpture in the lake. We also have Turtles and EEls in the lake as well.I will pass your review on to our dedicated volunteers who do such a good job maintaining the Gardens.Regards, General Manager

Huge area to wander in, kids played hide and seek for hours, it was that big. Lots of animal life and really peaceful. Picinic tables and lovely walks.
Drive safe when going up and please try the horse ride at thunderbird park! The horses are awesome at the park
We liked the peace and tranquility. Gardens and paths were very neat. A very pleasant walk around the gardens
Thank you for your kind review. I will pass it on to our Volunteers who work at the Gardens.RegardsGeneral Manager
