the walk by the beach till you get to the lighthouse and picking up empty shells is relaxing and take you away from the busy life,
My husband and I were married here at sunset, and it was perfect! We were fortunate to have perfect weather, and a beautiful sunset!
We enjoyed our walk from town down to the Brant point lighthouse. The caretakers had just finished put a huge red bow on the lighthouse for the Christmas holidays. Very charming little lighthouse. We wished we could have gone inside.
small but picturesque light house on a white sandy beach with a great view of the harbor. lots of pretty shells on the beach and beautiful beach grass
Very pretty views from Brant Point. The lighthouse is small, but pretty. This is a nice beach to sit at, but it's important to note that there are lots of shells so sunbathing might be challenging.
The lighthouse is a short drive from the center of Nantucket. You could walk to it, as well. Parking is definitely a problem, as the streets that are nearby all have NO PARKING signs. But, once you get to where the lighthouse is located, you walk down one of several sandy paths to get to the lighthouse. It's not huge. It is well-painted and overlooks the Nantucket harbor.
A short walk from town and you felt you were in another world. Would have liked to have more onsite information.
We walk the beach there and pick up great shells. This is the entrance to the harbor so it's fun to watch the activity
This is a small lighthouse put the first to see what you sale in Nantucket Harbor. It is a wonderful place to walk out to, sit on the beach and look at the harbor, watch the boats and watch the people. Great photo ops.
We got to climb to the top (27 feet) and see the interior on Saturday, 9/20 during the Maritime Festival. Brant Point Lighthouse is open once a year during this festival in September. Don't miss this opportunity if you happen to be in Nantucket during the festival weekend.
