Very busy during rainy days!! Bring a bag lunch or some snacks. Order a few drinks and hang out with friend/family. Nice time there.
This is a really fun place to visit and hang out, and is fu for all ages. It can get crowded though.
This place was super fun and relaxing. My girlfriend and i had a yummy beer flight tasting and cliff was super accomodating and gave us lots of info about the island- so fun to be part of the local flair!
Visiting Cisco Brewery is a must do for us when we go to Nantucket. It`s the only time I allow myself to drink ( free samples ) in the early part of the day but being on vacation is what makes it fun. The people that work there are very friendly , and can offer good advice on the wide selection of beers and wines. There are necessary amenities, tables and places to relax and other facilities. Stock up on whatever you want plus grab a little food and continue your journey to Cisco Beach straight down the road or the new bike path. It`s a beautiful place on a beautiful island. You won`t be disappointed, I promise.
hard to believe but on a rainy October weeknight outside of town, this is terrific fun: live great music under a tent, tour of the brewery and distillery, tasting, free shuttle to/from town, all in all the makings of a festive occasion no matter how grey the day.Bet it is AWESOME in the sun!Very impressive beers and don't miss the Notch ("not scotch").
While in nantucket we were advised that a trip to the cisco brewery was a nice way to spend an afternoon. What an understatement that was! The minute we entered the distilary was a journey into a grown up version of willy wonkas. The barman ( Tyler?) was so full of excitement and passion for his craft that it was impossible not to be swept up in the tide, and what a wonderful tide it was. We had a terrific time, and have already started planning our next trip to this wonderful place. Thanks again ( Tyler?) see you soon, your fellow Aussies.
We were very eager to go here and planned our day around a trip out here. This is not a great venue in the rain as the buildings are spread out. There was also only one tour at 4:00 and the music that is daily, starts in the evening. No real food to speak of even though we were told there were food trucks. The beer and wine were good but very pricey. In general the tastings were also expensive. The staff was unfriendly and distracted and more interested in hanging out with their friends then serving drinks. It is nice that they provide a free shuttle to town.
we rented bikes to explore the island and ended up at cisco Brewery. The weather was beautiful and because it was November we had the place to ourselves. The beer and cider was amazing the staff was friendly worth a bike ride out there which is only a few miles from the village
we decided to grill out some local fare, fish & brew.. excellent selection of summer beer offering & i met the owner, nice guy great setup for daytime music & drinks... they close early... the guys home is on site; probably not SUPER KID FRIENDLY.... we made a quick stop to accommodate Me (dad) the grill master!
We found it with the help of people at Bartlett Farm down the road. Just a barrel hanging from a sign by the road, that is it. But even in January I found it to be a friendly warm place to stay a while. Had a great conversation the the 888 Distillery with the bar tender and enjoyed a wonderful cocktail that was perfect for the cold day. I can only imagine how much fun it is in the warm weather out there. I hope to return again.
