If you are in downtown Nashville, check out the public library. First off, the high ceilings, artwork on the walls and the architecture are all breathtaking. Go upstairs to the outdoor garden, a tranquil spot to read. And downstairs, be sure to visit the cafe. It has the best baked goods!
We love visiting the downtown library for the various children's programs and then venturing out to the courtyard on a beautiful day. Check the schedule of events online before going.
This library is more than just books, so if you find yourself in Nashville spare a few minutes and visit the library. The outside architecture is impressive, and the inside is no less so. Besides walking through the book stacks and perusing their great collection of books, you can admire the murals present in the hallways on all three floors and while you're at it learn a bit about the history of the city. If you're visiting in a kinder season, you should also check out the courtyard.
This is a great place to park while visiting downtown on the Weekends. Parking is only $5, which is amazing compared to other lots.
The architecture of the Nashville public library is beautiful. You can sit and enjoy magazines, books, etc., use the computers or search for your next movie. It is worth the visit.
The library is a lovely building and its' parking garage is a great central location for parking and walking to downtown sites.
Impressive architecture and a beautiful building that is worth a visit if in the area. We actually found the library by using it's parking lot ( best deal in town) as it is centrally located. The lobby is beautiful and the various rooms are lovely.
I'm so jealous that my hometown library is not the Nashville Public Library. My son loved playing with the puppets and I loved dreaming about working at this library.
Parking here is centralized (around the corner from the Ryman) and cheap. The library is very nice too.
I simply walked in here to check out the library as a whole, and was pleasantly amazed at the beauty inside and out. The entire building itself was a joy to walk around in and marvel at all it had to offer.
