Unique, amazing, no-fee must-see in the National Harbor area. Better than ICE; tie or second only to the Capital Wheel.
So wonderful to see this by the water - the scale of the sculpture perfect for this spot. Kids and adults alike will love it.
A half buried man in the sand, with exposed hand, arm, leg and head. The kids climbed on it and had a lot of fun.
I've seen this great artwork when it was at Haynes point in Washington DC. The move to the National Harbor will allow more people to visit without making a special trip downtown.
Nice sculpture on the man-made beach. Great that kids and adults were able to climb all over it. If you're in the area anyway it's worth a visit.
The sculpture is of a man trying to get out of sand, I think. It is really funny expecially when you put your own loved ones on face or under a hand.
Not sure what to say about this place. I couldn't find a right angle to capture the sculpture. The place was busy too, and every part of the thing had people hanging around it. I couldn't get a nice shot. Come to think of it, maybe it is not worth the fuss.
This attraction is amazing. It attracts a lot of people to climb, photograph and it is not something easy to describe you need to experience this amazing art. We took the Capitol Wheel ride on the ferris wheel and got some fantastic photos of the sculpture.
Very unique. Nothing like it anywhere else. A must see when visiting Washington or the Harbor. You will definitely not forget your visit to the sculpture. Give the kids an opportunity to burn off a few calories
Wait, what's that giant statue doing there? Having seen it at Hains Point back in the day, it was startling to see the bearded titan statue also struggling at a small beach at National Harbor! Turns out he relocated a few years back to his new riverfront digs. Kids love him and climb about on the soft sand. Bigger adult kids enjoy funny poses and selfies. He's a big hit and the best thing he doesn't cost a dime. But you'll spend plenty of money at the shops and restaurants!
