Visited Rick's café and do have to say that the views are stunning. Only thing is, it is much busier than we thought it would be. Cliff jumpers are crazy but very entertaining. Drink prices do vary depending on whether you visit the bar or buy from the waitresses. Red stripe from the buckets is more expensive than at the bar. Also I think the staff did not seem as friendly as in other attractions, may just be due to the amount of people there. Nice to get out of your resort and see some more of Jamaica whilst travelling to café and I am glad we went, but we got some awesome sunset shots from our resort at the Sensatori too. You do need to get your place early to watch the sunset.
I booked a Negril Sightseeing all day tour through Viator.com, and upon arriving in Negril we did some shopping and then headed to the beach and Margariteville with our final destination Rick's Cafe where you have this magnificent view of the Caribbean and see tons of people jumping off the cliffs into the beautiful turquoise waters and ends with the sunset you will not forget.
This is supposed to be a must see place. It was smaller than expected and very crowded and the beer was at least a dollar (US) more expensive than elsewhere. However the cliff divers are impressive in their 'madness' and the view of the sunset very good. You don't need to spend more than the hour before sunset here.
the cliffjumpers (or jumping yourself) seems to be the only reason to go here, sunset is better from 7mile beach (less crowded) and food and drink prices are higher than the cliffs
来里克玩。乘车很贵,食物很贵,很拥挤。除非你真的想跳高,找一下潜水员和避免麻烦。不推荐。另外加上看到人们穿着暴露,让我不舒服。ICK
We recently went to Rick's as part of a day trip to Negril. Watching the cliff divers is fun however the food, service and entertainment were forgetable. We waited over 30 minutes for overcooked chicken and waffles and chicken fingers. They were out of mint for mojitos, had no Corona's and no gin, but plenty of Red Stripe. The band was just fair, and the drunk college students did not add to the overall atmosphere.
food here very weak. had jerk chicken was just some chicken fillets with a gravey like sauce not jerk chicken sauce. chicken was sure not like any jerk chicken.fries were supposed to be seasoned very little season on .waitress could not care if see was even there. went about 3.00 afternoon
It definitely is a cool place to visit. Band playing, bar, cliff jumping, boat riding, etc. I think the best part is the sunset. Rick's cafe provides one of the best view for sunset. Everything is a bit costly as the place is for the tourists. I found it a bit too commercialized, but it's definitely a cool place.
Well lemme say Im a jumper. All over AZ there are places to jump in the water so this was huge for me. The cliff jumping is dope and the redstripe is about $3 or $4 per which seemed a BIT high but w/e. Just remember if you let the locals at the bottom show you the cool stuff they WILL expect a tip lol...they are pretty low key there we smoked a blunt in the pool and didnt act stupid they didnt say anything.
Be sure to go, it's fun and well-run. I would probably not be coming back often. The grounds are nicely built. Part of the fun is to watch not so experienced divers hesitating or making a less-than-perfect attempt.
