I visit this self-pick organic farm every summer to pick blueberries. It's quite a drive to get there, but the fields are filled with big ripe blueberries that I freeze and use throughout the year. Lots of families with small children and I love hearing them shout out that they found the best berries. Petting zoo filled with farm animals and a wagon that can take you to the field that kids would find fun to ride.
I like the no sugar added peach and blueberry pie, not just because they do not add sugar (use splenda for crust and natural sugar from fruit), but because they are not as sweet and the crust is lighter. Emery's has the best homemade pies I've ever tasted and are better priced than other "farm, homemade" pies I've purchased.
I love the old school charm of tying an old tin coffee can to your waist to collect the berries. Their country farm store is adorable and full of treasures. Try the trifecta pie and you won't be disappointed.
Pies to die for! Fantastic deep dish pies! Freshly made & very tasty! Any berry pie from them, heated & vanilla ice cream added, is better than most diners!
What an experience Fresh homemade pies of every kind of berry and mixture of berries. Pumpkin and Apple are also among the many different pies, cakes and cookies. Local honey and jams are available as well. Halloween Hayrides and pumpkin picking with a petting zoo for the kids. Stop in and say Hi to John, Sue and Laura. Credits are accepted. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED ON GROUNDS
I honestly thought the pies (blueberry and Trifector) were very dry. Their pumpkin and cheese bread and the zucchini bread were great. Perhaps it was the December visit that was the problem but I would give them another chance in the summer.
They make the best pies!!! We love blueberries and they make blueberry donuts that are amazing! Also the blueberry crumb cake is delicious!
That's my review :) but since I need to add more: This is worth the drive. There are so may amazing varieties of pies, cookies, muffins and more, but the pies are the best!
Don't expect a warm place with lots of ppl happy to help, but do expect a great experience. Organic blueberries at $2.75/lb! Cannot beat that. You will need to spend lots of time if you expect any sizable accumulation. Wear a hat. The berries don't last more than a few days out of the fridge. They go really bad. Unfortunately, the baked goods and jams are not organic. We had blueberry streudel , Danish and donuts. All were yummy. They have a few goats, roosters and a donkey to feed. Overall an adorable place. Will return next summer for sure!
We go here every year for our pumpkins. We do the hay ride and corn maze also. The hay ride isn't scary and the corn maze is good for young kids. Also check out the market and get some really good pies!!
