Was here for 2nd year with my oldest son - we spend 2 days and we could easily spend couple more days if we had enough time.In summer time you could spend half day on different rides and then spend half day in awesome water park. Note: Last year we were in mid of August and water park was mostly closed, so I think its working only in top season.Territory is quite big and there is a lot of to see and experience - IMHO its much better place than Legoland. And there is very good selection of food - you could choose "all you could eat" buffer to eat healthy meals (mexico and western ones) for price of 150 DKK per adult and 75 DKK for child.Bring your empty water bottle - you could fill it for free in many places. Will save you a lot of money in hot weather :)
Nice place to be with your kid, I will return, they have it all, also for grownups :) Next time I will bring food, you may have a picnic inside
This is a really huge amusement park. If you plan to stay only one day, plan ahead the rides and attraction, otherwise you will run out time. The roller coasters were really great. The water park changing rooms are too small for a hot day. They were overcrowded and also a bit dirty too. It is also fine to bring your own food and have a picnic on the lawn.
I have gone with my family to several amusement parks throughout Scandinavia. Djurs Sommerland beats them all by a wide margin. Great rides for all ages, lots of space if you need to relax. Barbeques which you can use for free, good price, friendly staff etc etc. We have gone to this place for three days every year for 4 years, and we still find it one of the highlight during the vacation. Highly recommended
Forget about Disney.... This park has it all. It's located in Denmark and there are maybe 10 more parks like this in the country but this one is major. At least two of the top 10 roller coasters in the world are to be found here - ain't that something.?
This park is in my mind one of the best parks to visit with younger children. The attractions are great. The playgrounds for the smaller kids are all located around good facilites, and are as far as i experienced always designed so there is one way in so the kids cant get lost. We will be back at this park soon. Love it.
Have not visited Djurs Sommerland since I was a kid my self. With own kids (almost 2 and 5) it was something completely different, and I am impressed.Ok, it was a hot sunny day, and it was crowded. But it was never overcrowded. Big lawns, a lot of benches, tables, places to sit down, relax, watch. A lot of choices of food (and you can BBQ with own food). So this is the most family friendly theme park in Denmark. Maybe in Scandinavia too.The same tip her as in Legoland: If you have a bit older kids than me, come a bit later (noon) and stay until the park is closing and you will get a lot more out of your stay. Two days is reccommended here as well. And worried about rides for the small children? No, problem. Our son (almost 2) was taking rides all day. Especially the Mini Land is good for the smallest children. Will definetly come back.
One of the best parks I´v been to. Great rides for all ages. Very nicely made with different themed areas in the park. Outstanding service minded and friendly crew. Spacious with lots of playgrounds and green areas to relax in. Value for money at the "Wild Western Buffet". Very tasty and large selection for both adults and children. I would recommend at least two days if you want to try all activities. Me and my family will definitely return to this great world class Theme park.
Unfortunately we visited the park on the busiest day of the year - or that's how it felt but still it was a great day for all of us (age range 1 month to 70 years). The park is well kept and offers something for all. Bring your own food and you don't have to spend more money after the entrance.
Wonderfull themepark, all in consideration no complaints. Have rides for all ages, even a "daredevil" like me aged 19, felt the thrill while trying Juvelen, with my 11yo brother. The staff is helpfull and cares about the costumers experience, such as being dressed up as pirates pointing foam swords hyping up the ride before launching with a "Yaer matey" Great value for money giving you and your family a day you will never forget.
