...The concerts that are here seem a bit awkward with seat placing. It is great for shows though. I love the architectural build but wish they redid the seating.
The Midland seems to catch big talent traveling to and from larger venues. an old theater that used to boast Vaudville acts, it was completely renovated a few years ago, most of the funds coming from the community. There are no bad seats in the house, but leg room is non-existent. If you like elegance -velvet seats, chandeliers, ornate box seats, etc., you will love the Midland! Try to catch a play (Phantom was spectacular!) or a classic ballet!
This theater is very beautiful. You can see the historic beauty when you first walk into the building. My family and I have been here several times for various reasons. Our favorite is the Nutcracker performed by the youth ballot. They always do an inc-readable job for as young as they are. I'm glad that they chose to restore this place. My family and I look forward to coming back many more times as we always have a good time when we come. You should make time to come see show here or at least take tour of the place to see how beautiful it is.
This is a nice, smallish theatre with great character. The renovations are beautiful. It is a pretty 30 minute drive from Columbus with plenty of free parking downtown. The balcony seats are a little tight. Will try the lower level next time.
Lovely venue for a concert. Have been to quite a few there. All of them have been great. Wonderful acoustics. Theater itself has been very well taken care of. Comfortable seats, plenty of room. Ushers and staff are great. Highly recommend it to anyone.
So many different shows staffed with volunteers from the community. The sound is great and the building is just beautiful retaining it's charm from a simpler time.
We were not fortunate enough to see a show here, but were fortunate to find an employee available who took us for a very short, but memorable tour of this beautiful theater. The restoration is amazing and many big name acts have performed here, judging from the photos on the walls. Worth stopping in at non-show times, just in case there is someone available to show you around. The theater is a beautiful fixture in the charming small town of Newark, Ohio.
The Midland theater is one of the best places I have been to see a live performance. It is kinda up close and personal. I have seen several bands there and have never been disapointed.
I have been to the Midland on many occasions. My favorite has to be at Christmastime when they play the old classic movies, but I have also had the pleasure of seeing great acts like BB King here. The inside is a warp back into a wonderful time in history.
The entertainment coming is first class for the price. The theatre is a reconstructed beauty, Great variety of progamming to meet all wants.
