This place is close to home and it get's top talent. I've seen Jerry Seinfeld here and this weekend I saw comic Robert Klein. The staff is always nice, polite, and professional. The venue is immaculate and you always feel safe. The night we were there, there were two other shows going on in the other theaters. They were so organized that you barely knew it. Each theater is so beautiful and there isn't a bad seat in the house. There's lots of parking lots very close to NJPAC for convenience if you drive.
Visited a few times for popular and classical music concerts.Easy access from nearby parking lots.Easy to get around with friendly staff.
This is a wonderful venue just the right size. It is hard to get a bad seat. Staff is helpful. The only negative is at intermission they have so few worker for the bar and snacks that you can spend the whole time waiting on line.
Just attended an event at the NJPAC for the first time and came away very impressed. Beautiful facility, comfortable seating and convenient parking. It's in Newark, so stay close, but will look for more opportunities to come back in the future. Only nit to pick is the entry is a bit disorganized. Kind of a mob scene getting to the ticket-takers. Should look to designate lines a little better.
One of the best halls I've been in. Good sight and sound and elegant decor. Every time I've been I've heard the New Jersey Symphony. They're well match to the acoustic.
My wife and I have been members since it opened over 15 years ago. The hall is exquisite as is its sound; the best classical orchestras and soloists include it in their itinerary as do many first-line popular artists as well. The staff is courteous and attentive, the seats are comfortable and the view of the stage is excellent from most of them. also, parking is easy, efficient and half the cost of New York parking or less - and there are no tolls and few traffic stresses. Newark has excellent restaurants nearby in the Ironbound district and elsewhere; even the in-house food is good if a bit pricey. Also, for the worriers who read this, Newark is a whole lot safer now than when NJPAC opened; in fact, NJPAC has been a cornerstone of downtown's turnaround. Overall, this is a venue worth travelling to and a superior alternative to schlepping into Manhattan. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere was very friendly. Assistants were prepared and willing to guide customers to their seats.
We came here for my birthday to see the America's Got Talent auditions in New Jersey. After waiting outside to get in, we were shocked of how nice it was inside the Audiotorium. Not a lot of food or beverages offered so sneak if you can. Overall it was great.
When we first got there, the doors to the venue were not open. The lady in front found us a warm spot in the lobby for my child to sit until the doors opened. When the doors opened, we were kindly directed to the elevator. When we got to our floor, we were lucky enough to meet up with Belva. She is one of the best ushers I have ever met. She introduced us to Keith and Brendan (who were all smiles and super friendly), showed us where everything was, and made sure my child was in the most comfortable environment. The show was perfect because of her extra touch. I highly recommend NJPAC for anyone with special needs.
We went here for the first time yesterday to see Evil Dead the Musical. We were immediately struck by the how beautiful the building is. Inside we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff. While we waited for the Victoria theater to open we spoke with a very friendly staff member. He told us all about the area and gave us some ideas for dinner. On our way out we purchased tickets to our next show. Also, as a side note to anyone who has attended in a Broadway show....the bathrooms are huge and clean. There were no lines!
