The trail shares great views and scenery, I've been on this trail both in the summer (today) and in the Fall. It is much more BEAUTIFUL in the Fall. Come dressed and prepared for the hike.
For who ever love nature Energy this attraction is a real must do!! You walk and walk all you see green and water until you get to the end of the trail and the water rolling over those rocks What a view!! And a great energy you feel coming out or the water!! The air you breath is different from the rest of the world. Allow time to walk slowly I you are with elderly parents I really enjoyed this attraction. And not too far are the butterflies museum!!
I have been down in the Niagara Gorge many times in my life. We usually go down at Whirlpool State Park then come back up at Devil's Hole State Park then walk back to the car at the top of the gorge. There is much to see: closeups of the rapids, flora and fauna, rock formations, man made "left behinds". If you go here please remember that it can be a dangerous place. Stay on the trails and never go alone.
Nothing can beat being up close and personal! We saw the falls at night from the Canadian side then took the Maid of the Mist from New York. My phone video delivered some unbelievable memories that help me relive every moment. You can never duplicate the sensory experience that being there delivers. I encourage everyone to get there and see for yourself.
It was a really nice stroll at the end of the day, I walked it with music playing in my ears and at one of the view points just zoned out from reality and truly relaxed enjoying the view for about half an hour, really beautiful trail.
beautiful sites. We loved the trails, there is so much to see and enjoy. Take your time walking, sit and enjoy the scenery.
There is a paved path that will lead you around the park and along the American side of the Niagara. The best trails are down some stairs...there are a lot of them. When you reach the bottom the water of the river is the most amazing green. Enjoy!
If you are going to take the tour, they give you a poncho. At the end of the tour there are recycling bins to put your used poncho in, however as you finish the tour you can walk over to the horseshoe falls and you WILL get wet. So hold on to that poncho !
If you came to see the Falls you must enjoy all the other scenic places nearby particularly along the Gorge. This trail is very near to falls and very few people are on it. That is surprising as it an easy trail and it has amazing and changing scenery. It ends near the Whirlpool deep in the gorge with thundering rapids almost as loud as the falls themselves.
First time stopping at the Gorge. Spectacular scenery and close to the hotel . Whole area is beautiful
